A = Outstanding performance / Blew my expectations out of the water

B = Very good performance / Somewhat better than I expected

C = Mediocre performance / Pretty much met my expectations

D = Poor performance / I expected them to be better than this

F = Performance failure / It's been a worst-case result

I voted "C". I'm leaning closer to "B" than "D", for sure. But what held me back from a "B" is that the run blocking hasn't been the strength that I expected it to be even though our pass pro has exceeded my expectations.

I am around a B- C++. Probably leaning more to a B- as they have progressed a ton this year. I didn't expect a lot from this group this year. A lot of that is due to Nembot taking a big step forward. We've had brain farts on the field, but I believe they've done a tremendous job in pass protection. Run blocking has been up and down, it seems. I'm excited for 2015 when we get a couple huge guards on the line who could make a big difference in the running game.

Also, probably another topic, but I think a lot of the run game issues have started and ended with the RB's.

C, unless they can build on the run blocking they initially showed against USC and can keep Sefo upright through the rest of the season.

C. Better than the progression of our D line. If we could run the ball more effectively I would have said a B. We can still achieve that this year, or at least that is my hope.

B- Generally better pass protection, only 12 sacks, but as pointed out already, I was hoping for better run production. The multiple failures to convert short yardage TDs is particularly disappointing.

C until I start to see more daylight for the RBs. Some of it is on the RBs that do not see well but we need to get some better holes opened up

C.

Pass blocking has been better than expected but still inconsistent. We are passing for a lot of yards and points but Sefo is still taking to many hits.

Run blocking has been mostly bad, especially on short yardage although some of that may be the RBs as well.

I think D but working towards a C. I think they improved but the run game in short yardage has been just horrible. I think there is plenty of blame to spread around like play call, OL talent and size and a little with the backs.

B-

Most of the struggles in the running game fall on VERY predictable playcalling and the lack of talent at RB IMO.

Yep. Been some huge and I mean huge holes and we've had players run straight into a lineman because that is "where" the hole was suppose to be. At least from what I've seen.

Still want to see Munyer on the bench, tired of his act. Also Nembot had a better day but still had some seriously blown plays.

You do realize those have been our 2 best OLs this year, right?

I've been watching. Don't give a crap about Bernardi's numbers, they haven't been.

Munyer gets to his block almost every time, he they gets dominated. Nembot has gotten better over time but the fact is that he still has to many breakdowns on pass pro for a guy as far into his career as he is.

Kelley makes a lot of mistakes and doesn't get a lot of push as well but he is a first year starter and a soph, not a multi-year senior. Same thing with Irwin. I've been impressed with his performance for a first year starter at the most important position in pass pro.

So you're grading on a curve to determine who is playing better and who should be benched.

Munyer isn't the present or future of this program. He isn't getting better and we aren't getting better with him in there.

We ran for 233 yards today. Impression of the board seems to be that it was mostly running to the right.

And I don't remember a sack coming from the right either.

I thought that Munyer and Nembot had a pretty damn good day today.

Better than some days they have had, especially Nembot. Saw more effective running inside to the left than the right.

You can support Munyer all you want but I watch the OL a lot and again will be very happy when he is gone. Doesn't mean he is bad all the time but he isn't good enough.

Munyer is our best Olineman. Not sure I understand??? I think Kough is going to be a stud, though.

I believe the coaches are getting the most out of the talent that is assembled.
B for effort and growth
C- for results
C/C+ over all

Without any surefire NFL talent on the O-Line, it's amazing that Sefo is generating so many passing yards and is not being sacked very much. The O-Line doesn't get flagged for an alarming number of illegal procedure and holding calls. The line has the fundamentals of pass pro down, and is opening up passing lanes. Run blocking has been infuriating on short yardage situations earlier in the season, but seems to be getting better in the USC and UCLA games on short yardage at the goal line and on 4th down conversions. Too bad there isn't much nasty road grading going on to support the run game. Nembot has always been a project, but I think he is progressing. All in all, this unit is good enough to keep the offense in the game, but hasn't proven dominant enough to contribute to victories.
