Great Expectations

I mean, I knew we would be better than a 3 win team and believed we could get 6 wins. But I believed we would likely lose to USC, Oregon, Washington, UCLA and possibly Oregon St.

After today I believe we have a shot in all of those.

So, how have your expectations changed after today’s showing?

I still expect to get through whatever comes with sass and a margarita. That never changes.

I would really be chapped with less than 8 wins this season. I said that for my birthday though. Nothing changed today.

We gotta be able to run the ball. My expectations were 7-5 I think, that's doable. Left out, teams are gonna have film now. Somehow, someway gotta get the running game going.

After coming down from my emotional high and regaining some semblance of objectivity, I do see the weaknesses, especially, in our run offense and defense as well as special teams. Hopefully we can make adjustments.

Whereas before I was hoping we’d be competitive with the teams on our schedule, now I know we will be. I know we are going to lose some games, but now I can look at each game on the schedule and believe we can win.

It’ll be interesting to see how we evolve during the next three weeks before Oregon.

I am convinced that we will dramatically improve at running the ball, special teams in general, and our defense will stiffen substantially. Having game film that points out glaring areas for improvement is a magical thing, and there is zero doubt this staff will coach them hard in these areas. This is a 9 win team as constructed, but as has been stated repeatedly, we will really struggle if we incur injuries in a few areas (OL, DL, QB)

One of the best of both worlds situations here. CU left a lot on the field and has much they know they need to fix, yet they are going through that process with a win under their belt. As thrilled as they are with the win, and some performances, I don't get the sense that they thought they played particularly well.

The problem for opposing teams is that you can't defend Edwards and Travis (not to mention the rest of the WRs) at the same time. The outlet pass to Edwards can be a TD all day long. We aren't playing anyone who can stop that. Plus... our top 2 RBs still haven't been on the field yet. Our offense will get even better.
