Great news...

he could be asking Hawkins for tips on our weaknesses, not like Hawkins had any clue about them.

Fairchild is asking Sqwauk his opinion of FB related matters....

"Yeah, he was asking me to come down there and come talk to some of the kids and talk about football and life and stuff. Just rappin with the kids, it was awesome, just talking about building momentum and having some success and performing a little bit. Kids need to find where they can fit in the mix."

"They have some kids in there who can really, run, who can really play. Some of these kids are really big and strong and really smart. Steve has been able to get some great kids and some great coaches in there. It always helps to have kids in the system and knowing what they're doing. Steve (Fairchild) asked me about their offense, what they should do or where they should go, whether they should run the ball or go more spread or whatever - I told him that 'It's not about running this offense or that offense, it's about doing what you do and getting better at that.' That's what it's all about right there."

"Steve asked me about their quarterback position, whether he should name Pete Thomas his starter now or have an open competition. I told him that I never liked coming into the spring and saying, 'He's the starting whatever,' because to me, you've just got to start over and say let's see who's going to play and do the things it takes to be successful. So I told him he should have guys who will play with the 'ones' and the 'twos' and evaluate them every day and see what happens in the scrimmages. And then see where you're at."

It's a little spooky how much you sound like D II Dan....

Fairchild: "Dan, I really need to get off to a solid start next year. I'm hoping you can give me some pointers, particularly with regard to Colorado. Any advice?"

Hawk: "Steve, first off, do you have kids? If you don't have kids, you simply don't know wtf you're doing. So go get some kids if you don't have them. Secondly, you really have to take a look at the whole deal, ya know? Are you doing things the right way? Are you bringing your lunchpail everyday. Blue collar. That's what you have to have goin' on. Once you do that, it'll pop"

Fairchild: "ummmm, yeah Dan. Thanks. You've been a big help. You don't happen to have Gary Barnett's phone number, do you?"

So good it gave me flashbacks... :congrats:

I cant get enough of these. Rep

**** Hawkins, nothing about him is funny. ****head ruined cu football the last 5 years. Hope he chokes on pixie dust and gets a unicorn horn up his ass.

I really don't like this. Hawk is a moron but I still don't believe he should be talking to our future opponents. We made him a very rich man I think he should show some ****ing respect.

SYKO I am starting to get the feeling you don't like Danny.....

I thought about this too, but then I remembered, D II couldn't find his *** with both hands, a flashlight and a compass, so I can't see how it would harm CU's interests. Maybe some of the softness he brings to every team will wear off on SF and the goats.....

It wasn't until further down in the posts in this thread that i realized that those were not true quotes from Danny. They were that good. Or that bad. Depends on if you are a CU fan or not.

(although a non-CU fan reading it might think it's George Bush)

Now that you mention it.

Amazing how similar D2Dan and W really are. They both took over a good but troubled situation. They both succeeded at spouting incomprehensable gibberish in response to clear questions. They both spent the last part of their time in office looking thouroughly lost and confused. Amazing how similar they really are.
