Men's and women's cross country both ranked in the top 5
Soccer on a seven game winning stream and will likely be ranked soon.
Add in some big time recruiting wins for the men's hoops team and one pre season publication has them in the top 20.

This is pretty good stuff.

2. Colorado (4-1, 2-0; No. 5 last week)

Meet the leaders of the South Division. Colorado put on a calm, poised and destructive performance against Oregon State after coming off an emotional win the week before. With a trip to USC next week, it would have been easy for the rising Buffs to play down or overlook the Beavers. They didn’t, and that’s the mark of a mature team.

I tend to not give any credence to the tripe that ESPN puts out there, but you're right - that was cool.

Not sure if I'm ready to believe that we're in the top two of the conference, but it doesn't hurt if others perceive us that way. Just need to not blow that perception.

I also give ESPN a lot of credence when they're complimentary of the Buffs. Funny how that works.

I get that given our past, but until proven otherwise I think we are clearly playing the "second best" football in the conference.
