Hagan question

How much of an impact does Darian Hagan have on recruiting as dir. of player development?
Would he have much more impact as a coach?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, which I'm sure I am, but in his current position Hagan doesn't recruit in the sense of talking to players or making visits. From a pure responsibility standpoint, as a coach he would be able to actively recruit kids but as the director of recruiting, he can't. I think he just takes care of the logistics associated with recruiting.

Recruiting is crucial and Hagan is good at it. He is a great salesman for CU.
Not to pick on Neinas (I have no inner knowledge. He could be great); but from the outside Hagan appears ideal to recruit for CU. I would look at sliding La Russa to special teams and have Hagan coach cbs. With Clark, McIntyre and La Russa also on stay Hagan would have the support he would need to be a solid cb coach.

we are at our max for allowed coaches, need to lose one for DH to come in.

I was suggesting switching Hagan to assistant coach and Neinas to director of player development. Just a pipe dream thinking about ways to improve recruiting

Hagan is actually able to recruit in his role but is not allowed to visit recruits. He can have contact I believe and he does.
