Higgins is playing better tonight. Dufault is having a good game. There has been some sloppy play, but they've been able to overcome it so far. The Hoosiers are definitely a step down from the Lobos. Really need to pull out a win tonight.

this game is insane... burks and roberson fouled out, IU stormed back to put it within 3, but HIGGINS of all people is being clutch and making huge shots and freethrows down the stretch. 6 point game, 50 seconds left, IU ball.

LEVI strips the ball. WOOT. Higgins fouled. time to ice the game higgins. 27 seconds left.

I was flashing back to the KU game....almost a complete collapse, but Higgins stepped up big.

Great Win! But I'm sure all the haters on here, who wont accept the excuse that New Mexico was a good team and thats a reasonable loss, will say that indiana is a bad team so its not a good win.

:woot:

Higgins redeemed himself. 8-4 with 3 OOC games left that they should win. Need to be 11-4 when conference play starts. Good win tonight!

...great win.

I am disappointed in Tom Crean though. I thought he was really going to turn IU around...not that I like IU...but it seems that IU is still a ways back from returning to what their fans expect. Still, they are a decent team, and this victory away from Coors is a quality win.

Who's mad about the NM loss? I think everyone here was expecting the L on that one.

I guess if your critical of the Buffs in any way makes you a "hater". My bad. Yay for reasonable losses!

Not an "away" game in the sense of playing on the opponent's home floor but it's a win away from Coors. A win on a neutral court is a step in the right direction, for sure. Anyone know what kind of crowd was there and were they also neutral?

Who's got two thumbs, is excited for tonight's win, and not a hater? THIS GUY!

Umm go read the New Mexico game thread, people were acting like we just lost to another ****ty team. I'm not saying anyone should be happy about a loss, but anytime we lose everyone freaks out takes their shot at the team, and when we have a solid win people don't give them credit.

New Mexico is a pretty damn good team. Whoever said that should be slapped. :smile2:

Fun game to go to tonight.

Buffs manhandled Indiana until the refs got involved. 2 quick fouls on Alec to start the 2nd half meant that he hardly played. That was stacked onto a foul called on him in the 1st half for hanging on the rim after a dunk. They finally fouled him out on a play where he had his hands up and made no contact.

Roberson also fouled out, partially due to a horrendous call when they got him for a charge when he threw down a monster dunk. Indiana guy was standing under the basket. Ridiculous. His 5th foul, he was just standing there with his arms straight up trying not to foul. He even backed off to give the guy room to shoot. Unreal.

Also, the rest of our front line had to play tentative because both Relphorde and Dufault were in foul trouble the entire 2nd half.

The team's foul trouble was so bad that Boyle had to take the air out of the ball with about 14 minutes left. We used the entire shot clock on ever possession to try to shorten the game and avoid half our team fouling out.

I'm not usually this upset with officiating, but they almost stole one from us tonight. There were fouls that should have been called but weren't, mistakes on possession, granting Indiana time outs during loose ball scrambles when they didn't even have possession, a shot clock error when we lost possession stole it back and the clock never reset, etc., etc.

Buffs are at fault for missing some free throws at bad times, having more trouble with the Indiana press than we should have, and committing some awful turnovers.

Great win, though. Neutral site win over Indiana is very solid. And it was good to see Higgins play well.

How about Burks fouling out on a play where he has his back turned to the offensive player, is moving away from the offensive player, and the offensive player put a shoulder into him? I know that shouldn't have been called on Burks because I have been assured by basketball experts that an offensive player can't put a shoulder into a defender and get a foul called in his favor...

I was pretty sure this was headed for the loss column for most of the last 10 minutes. Great to see Higgins and the rest step up and put it away in the last minute, esp. without Burks or Roberson (who was a beast tonight...).

I will be so happy once Boyle has had a chance to recruit some bigs, though. From the day Buzz was hired I was afraid of his tendency to ignore having effective bigs in the post, and we're seeing the effects now of him never landing any quality bigs for the last few years...

Nice to see a win away from the CEC, no matter the opponent. Still in line to get to some type of post season play. That would be allsome.

Great win for CU...that Indiana team played Kentucky even and acutally had leads late in the 2nd half against them in Rupp Arena..people can say what they want but that was a good win, especially with the way the refs turned their calls around after Crean's temper tantrum.

Like how Austin Dufault played tonight...he did some good things and is getting much better. He and Roberson give us some decent front line action...they need to play more together.

Higgins took the game over late...and he was pissed at something Indiana did...he got caught mouthing some expletives about his opinion of Indiana in the second half.

Still wish we had a point guard that would allow us to bench Tomlinson...he is not very good.

There was a pretty sizable IU contingent there, and unfortunately only a fairly small CU contingent, I'd say we were outnumbered at least 90% IU/10% CU, maybe even 95% IU and 5% CU fans...there were more IU fans tonight than there were New Mexico fans last night for sure, and the crowd was definitely bigger tonight, though both crowds were weak total...maybe 1,500 fans tonight, last night for New Mexico there were less - maybe 800 -1,000...here's a couple of pictures from the Indiana game:

Apparently we've switched to Wyoming's colors - I didn't get the memo on that one!

A warm welcome back to our old friend Steve McClain:

The small band of CU fans compared to the large chunk of IU fans by their bench - I also find Indiana's clownpants warmups hilarious...the other side of the arena not pictured here was mostly scattered IU fans with a few CU fans here and there...

Higgins shooting a free throw to put us up by 19...I started to have bad memories of the KU football game after this:

I like to see that Northern Iowa pulled out the win. They are a solid team, their bigs are going to cause some trouble. IU closed the gap two nights in a row. I didn't get a chance to see tonight's game, but as a quasi Marquette fan I like to see Crean lose two games in a row. I hope this win at a neutral site gives them some confidence, especially given the amount of IU fans at the game.

Its also sad to see a D1 game that has less fans then my high school games has in Maine. I understand that its in Vegas but that looks pathetic

Maybe it was the drive to the basket when they gave him a bloody nose but the refs didn't see a reason to call a foul?
