When I saw the thread title I thought they were talking about Greeley and the Bears, don't know if he is qualified for that job either but to think that a BCS level team would consider him for a HC job after what he did, or failed to do, in Boulder strikes me as really funny.

I don't have much against the Heel football program. But if the b-ball program were to have been touched by this academic fraud and the media/ESPN were willing to acknowledge it, I'd be okay with them bringing Patton in to coach!

It wouldn't be much of a change in UNC's football fortunes, anyway. This is a school that's had guys like Carl Torbush and John Bunting as HC's recently. A few years ago UNC decided that they could suddenly be good at football and poured tons of money into renovating/expanding Kenan Stadium even though it was hardly in disrepair (last renovation '98) and they don't even come close to filling it up (60k capacity - they're lucky to get 50k in there) and subsequently hiring Butch Davis (that turned out well). Going to be a pathetic "opening" of the new-look stadium on 9/3 against JMU. Given the disarray the program is now in, they'll be lucky to even sell out game 1.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. You would think the guys in Greeley would have been paying attention to what was going SW of there. Another BCS program is unthinkable. Maybe if Naropa fielded a football team.
