Hey you guys wanna see a dead body?

police had the creek path blocked with crime scene tape this morning from the hill down from the Dal Ward to Folsom (street).
 
It wasn't a dead body...just a stiff. Turns out Denver Johnson came back to see practice.

Boulder police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Boulder Creek near Folsom Street and Arapahoe Avenue this morning.
According to Boulder police spokeswoman Kim Kobel, the body of a white adult male in his 50s was found on a sandbar near the north shore of Boulder Creek, just south of the University of Colorado football practice fields. A woman passing by reported finding the body at 7:59 a.m.
Investigators from the Boulder County Coroner's Office and Boulder police detectives were on the scene this morning. A section of the bike path west of Folsom was closed for several hours.
There was some blood at the scene, but it was not clear what had happened, Kobel said.
"Right now, we're protecting the perimeter so we can investigate this and find out what happened," Kobel said.
Asked whether the incident is being treated as a suspicious death, Kobel said, "right now, we just don't know."
Kobel said detectives do not believe there is any danger to the general public.
The coroner's office will determine cause and manner of death, Kobel said.
The man's identity has not been released as of Wednesday afternoon.
