So obviously I'm a big duke fan, right? Every few years or so, Duke fans argue about whether such and such should have their jersey retired. Players have been fun to follow, meant a lot to the program, accomplished a lot personally, etc.
CU has rarely had players that ever earn that type of discussion. Even though I don't think Higgins should have his jersey retired, I do think he deserves some type of discussion. To me, he has meant a lot to this program. It's been so much fun seeing him develop as a talented freshman, to a stud junior, to a solid senior, letting go of his own ego so that a good sophomore could take center stage (w/o Cory, Burks does not get the chances he gets). He is my second favorite Buff bball player of all time after Chaunc. He may not deserve a retired number, but he deserves some type of official recognition. I wish him the best in the future, and I hope that eventually he makes it to the CU HOF. More than Burks, Higgins represents CU bball in my opinion.
