Fans got to be fans. Hirschman participation in spring drills will only make the team better. I am not sold on Connor Wood. The transfer comment above extremely disappointing. Why don't we let the kids battle it out on the field, and don't have favorites, be a fan of the team. The most difficult position to learn is QB, freshmen QB will struggle in a complicated West coast system. Why don't we fans consider a scenario where John Shrock or Stevie Joe Dorman can come in and win the job in the Spring. Wood couldn't make it at Texas against Case Mccoy, Wood is riding the hype of being a top QB recruit out of High School. He has not done anything in College to justify the hype. I am trying really hard to remain objective, a part of me want Schrock to now win the job, but i will i remain a fan of the team.

You criticize Wood, who was in a ****show of a situation at UT, but fail to mention that neither Schrock or Dorman had any DI offers out of high school. Objectivity at its finest.

Dorman had D1 offers. But getting D1 offers doesn't guarantee you success at the College level.
Dorman didn't, at least according to his AllBuffs' recruit profile. Regardless, I'll just agree to disagree with you, per the usual.

There is a difference between reporting offers to recruiting sites and actual offers. I recall his coach saying he had offers, he just didn't report them to recruiting sites.

Even if Wood was going to be the clear cut guy out of spring practice I feel very uncomfortable that our only guy on the roster who has taken a college snap is not getting any reps until August. Would have liked to at least see how Rip could help in Nick's development as a passer this offseason. This could be shaping up to be a year where we see even more freshmen in games than last. Scary.
Lulz, and when that doesn't happen, I expect you to get my grand from bb2 and then buy me a beer.

Hirschman, broke his foot over the weekend. The kid was working hard to get back for spring practice. And we have folks on here saying he should transfer. Extremely disapointing. Connor Wood better be the real deal, because you will never hear the end of it from me on this site. After saying that, it will not shock me if Schrock wins the job.

I think you're off on your transfer comments. We have five QBs and all of them have at least three seasons of eligibility. Someone was bound to transfer or quit. With Hirsch out for spring and now unlikely to win the job, it wouldn't be surprising if he decided to transfer. No one is pushing him out the door.
Plus one of the main reasons he came here was due to Hawk family connections.

I am sick and tired of the hype surrounding Connor Wood. The guy has not even taken one snap with the 1st team in a real game atmosphere, and he is getting crowned as the starter. What grounds do folks have to ask Hirschman to transfer. The kid is working hard, There is no way a starter will be named after the Spring, no chance. Hirschman will get his shot, even Schrock throws a good ball, surprised he didn't get D1 offers. Can't wait for fall camp.

1. Connor Wood is, by far, the most highly rated QB to step foot on campus in over a decade.
2. No one has given him the job, least of all the coach (although I am pretty sure one of your depth charts named him the starter).
3. No one has called for Hirsch to transfer, or "asked' in your terminology. The possibility of someone transferring and possible candidates for who that may be have been discussed, which is eminently reasonable.
4. It was a two candidate race. One of the candidates can't compete. There is a pretty damn good chance the lone remaining candidate is going to win the job. Perhaps your absolute statement isn't all that smart a prediction?
Does Connor bang your sister? What's your problem with him? People are hyping him because of the level of recruit he is. You seem to want to bash him at every opportunity.
