First of all, anyone that things the personal foul on Orms was a bad call clearly does not understand that leading with the helmet and touching the helmet during a tackle is a penalty, hands down. The rules have changed and it should be a penalty. Look at some players in their 40's and see the brain damage that these people have due to head shots.
At some point over the last 15 years, football has become less about tackling and more about big blow up hits.
Meanwhile, the refs seem to allow the hits that are lower on the body when the tackling player led with the helmet. The hit on Jordan Webb was right in the groin area and the CSU player led with the helmet. How is this not spearing?
This type of hitting has to change. This is NOT tackling. This will eventually ruin people's lives if coaches and refs allow this type of hitting.
There is a difference between hitting and tackling and all levels of football need to recognize this.
