Honest Opinion from Those who Tolerated the Whole Game-Webb, Wood, Hirsh?

or none of the above?

I saw each of the play a little and the only one I got excited about was Wood, (no pun intended), but I have hoped for him since he transferred so I am also biased.

I think anyone with 2 eyes (or maybe just 1 is enough) knows that Jordan Webb is absolutely not the answer.

Hirsh has really never impressed in his chances. Wood still seems to me to be the one with the most upside potential if he actually got playing time.

Given that all 3 got snaps in this game, what do you guys think? Is Wood our best QB until Dillon and Sefo are ready to take over?

If so, wtf has taken so long to get him more snaps???

Snaps have to be meaning and you have to identify who the leader is so the team can rally around them. Hirschman and Wood got garbage time minutes for the most part so it is hard to evaluate....But Webb is a disaster. And the way the HC is handling it is even worse.

I see no reason why Wood doesn't get 95% of the snaps this week and starts the next game. He's the most mobile of all 3, and has the best arm.

Webb doesn't do anything well. He doesn't even throw effective passes to the flat. Kasa should give him a wedgie after that pass today.

Hirschman just doesn't do anything for me. He has a better arm than Webb, but that's about it. He also moves like Peyton Manning. Unfortunately, he doesn't make up for it in other areas the way Peyton does.

Webb is done. He shouldn't see the field again. Hirschman looked to me like he still has gimpy feet. A few hits and he was clearly rattled.

Wood has a very strong arm but his accuracy is all over the place. He threaded a couple throws and absolutely air mailed a few throws.

I'd like to see Wood start a game. I don't expect the Buffs to be remotely competitive, regardless of the QB. Might as well see what Wood can do.

Wood without a doubt. He has some mobility and a strong arm, but mostly by default. We know what the other guys bring.

Completely agree. I hope with some reps he settles down and finds some consistency. Easily the best of the three IMO. His ball security is questionable, but that can be fixed.

Thanks. Well summarized. And 100% agree w/ your conclusion.

Start Wood. With everything else a disaster we might as well go with the only one who is a BCS level athlete. He won't win any accuracy competitions, but he looks pretty comfortable scrambling. Let him run some zone reads and some rollouts and maybe commit to a running game and we might have something that's not embarrassing.

You guys are nuts. Webb has won Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week. Of the WEEK!

I could give a **** about what Embo has to say at this point, it is painfully obvious he hasn't a clue. It was garbage time but Wood actually looks like a D1 QB, neither Webb nor Hirsch do. Hirsch has a nice arm but moves like my grandfather and is timid like my grandmother. Wood has accuracy problems, but clearly he has the best tools. Play him and see what happens.

We do announcements about announcements better than anyone.

And I'm sure the announcement will be:

Webb and Wood will compete this week in practice to see who starts against Zona.

They all suck. If Dillon or Liufau can't win the job next year, well......:sad2:

I think they should have stuck with Hirsh after he replaced Webb. 6 snaps for Hirsh was not near enough.

Yeah. I personally can't get enough Hirsch. Love me some Hirsch.
 or should it be ? Anyway, Hirsch is just not good. Webb is just not good. Woods did throw a couple of nice passes then just **** the bed on one. Uggh.

Wood. I don't think any of these three is the answer, but out of the three, Wood.

Honestly, None of them are going to rescue this program. But I would play Wood as I think his issues can be corrected. Hirshman is too slow in reacting to everything. The game just appears too fast for him. Jordan webb sucks. Nothing more to say about it. I would ignore Rip and start Wood next week. But knowing Embree he will review practice tape and determine that Webb is the answer. Christ what a moron.

Still don't get why they recruited Jordan Webb. The guy was an average spread QB, lacks arm strength and he is not fast enough to be an effective running QB. I hope to see Wood or Hirschman or even John Schrock next game.

They did not recruit Webb. I'm really sick of this ****. He is better than Hirschman and Woods. Or, I should say, he sucks less than them. Give it a rest.

So he was a transfer that was told by coaches he might have a shot at a scholly. He was told by KU to find a new home after he graduated.
