HoopsWorld Mock Draft

I guess the question is, "If he comes back for one more year, will he move into the lottery?"

I'm sure he will declare for the draft but not hire an agent. Then there will be the issue of the NBA CBA. How will that effect his decision?
 
13 is where we want him... Would be a lottery the next year if he keeps up this performance but will stay cuz he isnt a top 10.
 
do you guys think Kyle Irving is better than Kemba Walker? Also is Derrick Williams from Arizona definitely gone? that would be nice, he is a machine. also I thought the Morris bros from Kansas were rated a bit low.

As for Burks, can't really disagree where he is rated and he is probably a +-5 from that spot.

Yes, Irving is better because he's a true point guard. Walker is reminiscent of another UConn guy, Ben Gordon. Both are undersized shooting guards. I like Walker better, but still, he's not really a point and is small for a true 2. I take Irving.

I think Williams though is better than both. I take him #1 - he is absolutely great and has room to grow. I don't think too highly of the Morris twins, but I'm biased with anti-KU feelings. Sullinger is much better.

I think Terrence Jones at UK will be a good pro as well, but I would never draft a Coach Cal one-and-done.
 
The problem with hoping for the CBA to save us is that the Draft occurs before the CBA expires and the real lockout manuvering begins. Burks will basically have to forecast what he thinks is going to happen, of if that matters to him.

I think we have a lockout, but I haven't heard anyone explain what will happen to underclassmen who are drafted - can they return if they haven't hired an agent? Will all of the underclassmen heard into the draft w/o representation so they can potenially return to college?

One thing that no one mentions..this is considered a very weak draft year. Burks could come back and play really went and see his draft position go down because of the competition.

I think it looks much better than last year.
 
Sullinger (Ohio State) is going to return to Ohio State, this moves Burks up one spot.

There is no guarantee he will move up. The site does use "some" thought process as to what each team needs. It is not real accurate but gets the general gist. For instance, Washington has no use for a highly recruited point guard. Denver has no use for a Center.
One thing that is helping Burks immensely this year is the lack of quality shooting guards. This in combination with a weak draft class will cause Burks draft stock to rise.

what I was trying to say is that Sullinger would have been drafted higher than Burks, so yes I know you don't move him up one spot, but there is one less elite (top 5) prospect ahead of him.
 
As much as I'd love to see Burks stay, if he's going to be pulling in seven figures, he needs to go. Maybe he can send some of that scratch back to Boulder.

it is either going to happen right after the NIT or later on in the summer. He should probably enter his name for the draft, but not get an agent just to see how he gets graded. At the least it will tell him what he needs to work on if he decides to come back.
 
Deadline for underclassmen to declare for the Draft is April 24th. They have until May 8th to withdraw their names, so long as they haven't signed with an agent.
