It looks like point guard is where he has his best opportunity. What type of career do you expect?

I think that he will get a solid look because of his dad's connections and I think he will stick because of his skills, work ethic, and attitude.

He doesn't do anything well enough to be an NBA star but he does a lot of things well enough to be an NBA contributor. He can play the 2, play some at the 1, and even play some 3 against smaller guys. He is a solid defensive player, is willing to pass the basketball, and has enough offensive skills to occupy a defensive player. He is also the kind of guy who won't cause problems in a locker room. He won't complain about playing time or not getting enough shots and will be a solid influence on his teammates.

He will need to find the right situation but at worst I see him as a solid bench player for a few years and potentially a starter for a non-playoff team or even a supporting starter on a superstar based team.

it is very very hard to break into the NBA and even harder to stick around. I think he will play some summer league ball, do great and then head to Europe.

Bingo. His Dad's connections WILL get Cory a shot. And when he gets a chance he'll make it as a solid bench guy.

I love Cory - sure he'll get opportunities, but I don't think he plays more than four seasons as a bench player in the league. Trying to separate my fan-status of Higgins from pure evaluator (which, I'm definitely not a pro scout), I don't think he is going to make a roster next season.

I REALLY hope I'm wrong...I root for Higgins more than I do Burks. I hope Cory becomes a solid player in the league...

This.

I have a ton of respect for Cory. He's a great Buff. I loved watching his intensity on the court. I just don't see him having a career in the league. I believe he'll get a chance because of who his pops is, but nothing more than a couple of seasons.

Not trying to come off like JRK here. I just see him ending up in Europe.
