How good is Coach Rodrigue?

This is the best coached OL in a long time. We've had a lot of injuries and it's moving around but we are pretty consistently moving some beef up front.

Nobody thought we'd have a 300 yard rusher with our 3rd option at center (Jynes) and 3 starters out by my count.

Pleasantly surprised with the snaps last night. They floated a bit and seemed to threw off Noyer’s timing occasionally, but no bad snaps that I recall. But Coach Rod better figure out how to recruit because for the OL to be special, he’s going to need to combine good coaching with some God given talent.

Well, he can start getting his recruiting chops within a hundred mile radius! Colorado always seems to churn out 5-8 at least 3* OLs every year!

Lock down the State and he'll do well! OL is one position where teaching, S & C (Diet too) and development is critical.... Ex. A = D. Bahktiari; N. Solder

Maybe the thread should be retitled "How good a recruiter was FHCMM?". All the OL guys playing so far are his recruits, as are the DL starters and core linebackers.
If mac was still here our line would average about 280 pounds somehow

Truth. Most of the big contributors to this season have been MM recruits. Not surprising since MT only had one recruiting class.

It's reasonable to assume that the thing Chev needed the most help with in designing his offense was blocking scheme. Adams failed. Rodrigue seems to get it. Probably more important for this job than teaching technique - which is what Rodrigue is actually known for. Infinitely better hire than I had thought.

Well I agree with that. He said he didn't want fat guys but athletic line men who can move, push, get down field and block. His critiques of our past year's lines performance was also pretty interesting.
I'm intrigued, where do I find the ramblings of the big cajun?

Maybe I’m now an old man yelling at clouds but there are a lot of things I simply don’t get anymore. I get upset with my employer and coworkers as much as anyone but it would never occur to me to put something out in public like that.

Hurray, we all have a voice and an audience that’s bigger than it used to be. Now show some restraint. Bitch about work over a beer with friends
