How many conference road wins?

Abs and I were discussing this last night, as we all know CU hasn't been exactly dominate on the road. Only picking up 3 conference road wins last year against P12 cellar dwellers Utah, ASU and USC, so how many do they get this year?

KenPom currently has that number at 5, going 5-4 on the road in conference play. With wins on the road at ASU, UW, WSU, Utah and Oregon St.

Personally I would take 5-4, not playing at UCLA in Pauley doesn't hurt.

As i said last night we'll lay an egg in at least one of these winnable road games.

5 road wins for this young team would be incredible! We would contend for the conference crown if that came true, but I doubt it happens.

Even though we beat Fresno, we didn't really play that well. We got destroyed against Kansas, which they have done against all teams since they have played after us. We should have beat Wyoming, but they had a great game plan of flopping to get us in foul trouble.

Boyle has us winning at home and on neutral courts, which is great, but his road record has been abysmal.

I would be happy with 3 road wins (at Utah, at Washington State, and at ASU) this year. Although, the Pac12 isn't as terrible as last year, so I could see anywhere from 2-5 wins, so I will go with 3. Anything more than that would be great!

That is the first I'd heard of the "flopping" thing. I did see where foul trouble killed us.

it wouldn't surprise me either. Do you think we will get a surprise road win to make up for it?

I don't we just arent that good on the road, we are young, and we dont really have an answer if our main scorers go cold.

This is where I am at as well. JG seems to disagree though.

While I agree they will drop one they shouldn't (my guess would be against UW) they also get one they shouldn't (I would guess CU steals one of the two in the Bay area).

I am going 5. W's are ASU, WSU, Utah, Oregon St. and either Cal or Stanford.

I'll just park this here: (date, game, win probability) courtesy of rpiforecast

1-3 @Arizona 22%
1-6 @Arizona St. 62%
1-10 Southern California 89%
1-12 UCLA71%
1-16 @Washington 68%
1-19 @Washington St.59%
1-24 Stanford 75%
1-27 California 76%
2-2 @Utah 65%
2-7 @Oregon 38%
2-10 @Oregon St. 63%
2-14 Arizona 49%
2-16 Arizona St. 86%
2-21 Utah 87%
2-27 @Stanford 47%
3-2 @California 48%
3-7 Oregon 68%
3-9 Oregon St. 86%

The quick read is they predict us to win 5 on the road (with Stanford and Cal being tossups) and being raped by Arizona tomorrow.

So am I correct in assuming Oregon State and the Bay area teams are the swing games?

Yes.

...And Stanford is a bad matchup for us regardless of where we play them.

Put Jelly and Simba on the floor at the same time and it wouldn't be so bad. I swear the disaster in Boulder last year was in part due to the lineups Boyle played. Simba is Simba and all, but he was the only guy we had who could matchup down low in that game. Play him more and Dufault and Roberson might have had a chance.

Do you bench Booker or Chen for Simba?
