This has to be rock bottom. We just got our ass handed to us by a team on NCAA probation with reduce scholies but is still very competent, talented, and well coached team. That being said, that yard stick, like the next one, has shown us just how much work there is to do.

So, how many years before I should interupt my life again to pay attention to this?
 
We won't be Top 25 again until the powers that be decide to make an investment in the program......facilities, coaches pay scale, etc. Who's to say when that will happen, your guess is as good as mine.......
 
Duke would kick our ass. Solid team this year, 6-2, and Cutcliffe & Co display something our staff has no semblance of: competence. However, Benson and DiStefano wouldn't want to toy around with mere jocular games like those low-rate academic schools such as Stanford, UCLA, USC and even Duke take far more seriously than we do.

For the poll, I optimistically stated 5 years or more. While we're teetering on the edge of dooming ourselves to being in the cellar for decade(s), I'm going to bury my head in the sand and hope that the next hire proves to be halfway decent and this thing is turned around in 5 years.

Phil and Benson will be gone in the next couple years, we will be ranked within 3 years after a new admin comes in and supports higher standards.
 
Good chance if our young guys play to their potential. Mods please move to basketball thread.

Your life may be permanently interrupted before it happens. Same applies to most of us here.... :huh:
 
We have a long way to go. We've beaten to death the fact that even the schools mindset isn't football oriented. I see ten years or more before we get clear of this
