How much money do you spend on March Madness?

Every year I have an internal debate with myself how much $$$ I really want to throw away. I usually budget somewhere between $50-100 for brackets. I like doing pools with different sets of my social groups, it's always good for some friendly fire and to reconnect with those I've more or less lost touch with.

so I used to take a trip with my buddies for St Patty's Day every year which used to coincide with the dance starting weekend, which just made it awesome. The past two year it hasn't. So not really counting the trip, what we used to do is make picks and the winner each day would get $10 from every person. If you got the most picks right, it was a nice $80 pot. On the start of the 2nd/3rd round, everybody gets to redo the picks so every is picking 8 games. It really is a great time to travel because any bar you hop into has games on.

and also an office pool that is usually $10.

Last year, I did a squares game for the first time (cost: $40) and ended up winning $320 (thanks michigan). This year, I'll try and get in that same pool again, but that's about it in terms of brackets/pools.
