I just don't hope he goes to the Kansas City Chiefs. With McCluster, Charles, Draun, Gray, he could quickly implement his zone scheme and get them pretty quickly.
That's funny, I was just telling a buddy that the thought of Chip Kelly running his system at KC scared me a bit. Fortunately I think the Chiefs owner is too conservative to hire him.

While I think Kelly could do very good things in the NFL, it's not a Moneyball situation. That was driven by the lack of funds that small market teams in the MLB have vs. the large market teams. In the NFL, everyone gets an equal share of the tv deal. Money is not the issue.
Yup. Moneyball was also about a lot more than what that article suggests. Kelly isn't analyzing players with that kind of statistic (we think). How could he in a meaningful way when he's recruiting HS players? Instead, he's applying it strictly to ingame situations. If Kelly is moneyball, it is very limited.
Instead, he's just more about a fundamental shift in the way you practice and play a football game. Probably the biggest shift since the invention of the huddle.
Kelly won't be that great in the NFL imo. He dominates the college game with players that are faster than the competition (not possible in the NFL). This advantage is magnified by the wide hashmarks used in college football as opposed to the more balanced hashmarks in the NFL.
Also, going for it and failing on your own 35 is going to hurt in the NFL. Just because Arizona did nothing with it doesn't mean an NFL team would as well.
