How Oregon Coach Chip Kelly Can Spark 'Moneyball' Revolution In NFL
Interesting read. I can't wait til he leaves for the NFL. He is too ****ing good.

I just don't hope he goes to the Kansas City Chiefs. With McCluster, Charles, Draun, Gray, he could quickly implement his zone scheme and get them pretty quickly.
That's probably because I am your buddy and you and I have discussed this exact thing.

That's funny, I was just telling a buddy that the thought of Chip Kelly running his system at KC scared me a bit. Fortunately I think the Chiefs owner is too conservative to hire him.

Ha, I didn't look who the poster was.
Yup. Moneyball was also about a lot more than what that article suggests. Kelly isn't analyzing players with that kind of statistic (we think). How could he in a meaningful way when he's recruiting HS players? Instead, he's applying it strictly to ingame situations. If Kelly is moneyball, it is very limited. While I think Kelly could do very good things in the NFL, it's not a Moneyball situation. That was driven by the lack of funds that small market teams in the MLB have vs. the large market teams. In the NFL, everyone gets an equal share of the tv deal. Money is not the issue.
