HS games on the Pac-12 Network? UT never joining Pac-12?

In addition, Scott hinted with the network’s formation and the launching of the Longhorn Network next month, that Texas probably will never be joining the Pac-12 Conference.
“I think you could certainly imply that, with the news that we’re going to announce tonight,” Scott said in a phone interview from Bristol, Conn. “The Longhorn Network would be certainly a huge impediment.”
That was the case before Texas and four other Big 12 schools chose to remain where they were and not join what was the Pac-10 Conference, and with a Pac-12 Network, joining that league will apparently not be an option for the Longhorns down the road if the Big 12 dissolved.

The really cool part about this is that there's now a chance, if ever so slim, that someday the Pac 12 network rolls into Boulder to televise a BHS game and I will get actual TV time.

I actually wonder how they'll handle the high school game stuff. Obviously, it would have to be done so that they're televising schools from all over the Pac 12 region. How do they decide which games to televise among the 1,000 or so that are played every weekend?

I think that might be another beautiful aspect of the regional channels setup. Could end up with 3 or 4 different ones on each regional, with the cream of the crop game of the week or whatever showing on the mothership. could be cool.
 
Broadcasts of HS games on the the Longhorn or P12 network could easily turn into a pandora´s box situation tho.

Longhorn network for sure. When it only benefits one school, that's a problem. When it benefits every school in the conference, I guess I'm not that bothered by it. If there was a Big 12 network that televised high school games across the footprint of the Big 12, I don't think the rest of the schools would oppose it.

I'm certain the Big 10 network will soon be looking at televising high school games in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, etc. Eventually, the SEC will have it's own network - after all, that's the way things are going. Once that happens, we'll get high school games in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, etc.

I think it'll be great, personally.
 
As long as it doesn't turn into which 5* USC recruit's game will we show this week, then I'm fine with it.
