Had a company gathering in Estes last weekend. Stumbled into the Wheel BarSaturday night and the place was crawling with red clad Nebraska fans.

I thought holy crap, this team might be losing. The fans just sat on their behinds with a dumbfounded stare at the TVs.

nope, team was comfortably in the lead over Illinois.


What hat a boring watch party. Left to go to Lonigans were the atmosphere was less mourgistic ( heh I guess that's not a word)

I got a cheeseburger at mcdonalds, I hate
 
Funny thing is that the ones you saw were partying it up on their big vacation.

I don't dislike most Nebraska fans. I just find them intolerably boring and myopic.
 
Of all the boring and crappy teams in the big 10, how did they get stuck with the most boring crappy teams in their division? Iowa, NW, Minn, Wiscy, Illinois, Purdue zzzz.

I've said this before, but here it is again.

i am from Colorado. I graduated from CU and I bleed black and gold! I continue to live in my home state. I will never live anywhere else. And I don't have to, because my state is something to be proud of.

To all the Coloradans for Nebraska (who are more refugees from a disgusting land), I say- if you're so proud, if your state is so beautiful, wonderful and something you're proud of.... Why are you here????? Even if you gave them a paid ticket and a job offer in their home state, they wouldn't go back.

There are many highways out of nebraska and they provide many people a great escape from that nightmarish hell hole.

We are Colorado. This is OUR state.

Oh, I don't know about that....I think its pretty exciting when UWisckey hangs 70 on the Fuskers .
 
I can't stand Estes Park. Now I know why. I like to get through that town as fast as possible when I'm heading into the park.
 
You have to understand, although beating Illinois would be a huge win for CU, they are a cupcake to a school like Nebraska. If you are looking for a Husker party, you might look for one of many local Husker watch sites this Saturday when we take on a top ten Michigan State on the road.
 
do they offer free skewers so I can put out my eyes and rupture my eardrums? nobody cares, nibblet.

When the wife and I were married in Allenspark years ago, we were interviewing wedding photographers from Estes. One woman showed us a book of references filled with letters from brides and mother of brides gushing over the work this photographer had done. No lie, almost all of them were from Omaha or Lincoln.

cool that nebraska joined the least relevant of the football conferences. big ten is on life support. some good basketball schools, though.

He obviously knows how to use his talents to trim a few pounds off of those Nebraska ladies in the photos so they looked like a svelte 250 pound bride.

As for your comment about the many watch parties here, you support exactly what I've said about Nebraska all along. If you're so so proud, why do you all have to live in COLORADO and elsewhere? You al never have any answer for that.

We may he down right now in football but reality is you haven't dominated your new conference. YOU have just as many football conference championship rings in the BiG 10 as we do in the PAC 12. But I'm still from Colorado and you're from Nebraska. So, who is the real winner? No need to answer. We all know here.
