I can't wait for this offense post-PRich

Until cu gets 5 guys who can consistently block on an FBS level, this team will stay at the bottom. Very bummed how our DL has played this year.

It's amazing that an offense with a talent like P-Rich can be this pedestrian. Of course, when you haven't hit on a playmaking QB, RB, WR or TE in the 2009, 2010, 2011 or 2012 classes you're kind of gonna suck in 2013.

Yep. 99% PRich. It's gonna be bad next year. No threats at TE/WR and average RB's.

I'll miss Prich. I think he's a 3rd rounder at this point, but if he kills it in the combine can move up to the 2nd. No way he should stay for this **** show.

We keep saying 3-5 years and getting better athletes in here but, getting killed every week in the pac 12 isn't going to bring said athletes here no matter how good of a salesman MM is.

Most special skill position player we've had in so long and we're ****ing 11-21 in games with him. Sigh. Weird thing is to this point, our offense isn't even doing any better this year in terms of ppg in conference play than we were without him. (17.2 last year, 16.5 this year). I'm hardly trying to imply that we'll be fine or anything, quite the contrary. It's just a troubling stat in its own way.

We also have a group that doesn't seem to comprehend that for every 5.4rr freshman guy we have that's a pleasant surprise, our conference competition has a couple freshmen 5.9rr guys that are ****ing awesome.

There seems to be a small contingent worried about recruiting with this staff. You and myself and Duff Man. We're ****ed.

I love cu basketball but I hope we don't become just a basketball school...

Better than being a nothing school.

Dream of the day this university fields a consistent bowl level and NCAA Tournament teams at the same time. I'm relatively young, but not sure I'll ever live to see the day.

Everywhere we go, there's someone who retorts with "U CAN'T EXPECT TO HAVE A CLASS MADE UP OF 4 AND 5* TALENT RIGHT NOW". You're right. I just want a class that has more than 1 recruit out of 14 that is a mid-tier 3*.

Yup, of course we aren't going to get any blue chippers. Big deal. There are plenty of decent high 3* players to grab. We aren't getting a sniff. Somehow this staff is going to turn every diamond in the rough into an honorable mention or higher conference player.

Got this from the rivals page:

  • 6.1 Franchise Player; considered one of the elite prospects in the country, generally among the nation's top 25 players overall; deemed to have excellent pro potential; high-major prospect
  • 6.0-5.8 All-American Candidate; high-major prospect; considered one of the nation's top 300 prospects; deemed to have pro potential and ability to make an impact on college team
  • 5.7-5.5 All-Region Selection; considered among the region's top prospects and among the top 750 or so prospects in the country; high-to-mid-major prospect; deemed to have pro potential and ability to make an impact on college team
  • 5.4-5.0 Division I prospect; considered a mid-major prospect; deemed to have limited pro potential but definite Division I prospect; may be more of a role player
  • 4.9 Sleeper; no Rivals.com expert knew much, if anything, about this player; a prospect that only a college coach really knew about

We have 1 5.6 player, 8 5.5 players and 5 5.4 or lower. One or two of those guys will break out and we'll see an endless array of "stars don't matter, just look at Player X!"

It takes time to build relationships, but with a new staff you would think fences would be able to be mended faster within Colorado High Schools. This staff just can't recruit.

We need a position coach who is a hot shot at recruiting in the West in the worst way. Such a big, big difference in a team made up of 5.4 and 5.5 guys and a team of 5.6 and 5.7 guys. 1 guy out of 14 being a 5.6rr with all the rest lower. That tells you all you need to know. Hopefully we get another win (or miraculously 2) and get ourselves a bit of an upgrade to close out the class. It's also in our interest outside of the Pac for Boise State and BYU to be mediocre, there are 5.6 type recruits that they land that we could use.

I used to look forward to hearing coaches and players after the game. Sadly, they are saying the same thing that has been said after most games since 2007.

It's pretty lame that we are doling out some massive ****pile of money to assistant coaches (even relative to conference peers, I believe) and their recruiting product is this. The composition of the staff and their collective compensation level (which is something like two or three or four times what it was collectively last year) was suspicious when they were hired and it remains so. Those of you who are arguing that we can't expect to recruit better than this given our team record are in some ways advocating that we should accept being a doormat indefinitely.

Lol no they aren't

We need to get Goodson the ball. Any time he gets a touch he gets considerable YAC

I'd like to know what kind of 'hot shot recruiter' is going to pull kids into this ****-storm. It's not that I disagree with you all, but at the same time, it strikes me as funny that people think that getting one guy in is going to change everything for us in terms of recruiting. We have **** facilities, our program is in shambles, and we are getting blown out every week. But let's fire one guy and bring in a 'hot shot recruiter' and everything will be hunky-dory.
