If we beat the nubs, Mizzou loses to KU and Baylor loses to Texas we finish 5th in the Big 12. then if we outplay both of those teams in the b12 tourney i still think we have a chance. The big 12 has to get 5 teams in you would think... right?

Here's the outside, outside, longshot that we shouldn't worry too much about.

1. Beat Nebraska in Boulder on Saturday.
2. With the 6 seed in the Big 12 tourney, draw a favorable matchup with Oklahoma. Win.
3. Face Texas A&M, the 3 seed, in a Quarterfinal rematch. Win.
4. Face Texas, the 2 seed, in a Semifinal rematch. Win.

Let's focus on beating Nebraska.

KSU is in before us, as is A&M and Mizzou.

I think our only chance now is to beat NU and then win 2 games in the Big 12 tourney.

I just think we have to prove by beating Nebraska, and showing up in the b12 tourney, that we are the 5th best team in the conference

I don't care. We do not deserve to be in. We **** the bed against the worst team in the Big XII. We don't deserve a reward after that.

I dont care if we deserve it, if we can get in any way I'll take it. The effects it will have on recruiting and such would be huge.

It's over because there is no way this team wins 2 games in a row that aren't played in a place not named Coors Events Center.......man i look forward to the day when I can expect either our football or basketball team to beat a ****** team on the road

What is it with CU teams on the road? Are we just extremely mediocre and thus we get our asses kicked on the road? Is it something more, such as the distance CU has to travel? Are we soft? I just don't get it. I'm with you in that i have ZERO faith in this team away from Boulder - I really wouldn't put it by them to lose to a horrendous OU or TT in KC. Tonight ended CU's realistic hopes for the Big Dance unless winning two games in the tournament gets them in, because there is no way this team in making the Finals. I want CU to make the Dance as much as anybody, I could barley focus all day doing work, but losing to the 12th team in the Big12 tonight looks like it will be too much to overcome. On the flipside, one of Baylor, Nebraska and CU will probably get in...and that's actually a scary thought in terms of tournament quality

And to further back up my point after all the losing tonight CU is still second on Lunardi's first four out and nebraska is fourth. Said to be a possible play-in-game

Even with a couple more wins, we just have so many "bad losses" that we're talking very remote possibilities at this point.

On the bright side, the media wouldn't let you know it, but Baylor's bad losses are every bit as bad as ours. They've lost to ISU, OU and Texas Tech twice. They don't have the wins CU does, but if they beat Texas on Saturday they're going to take the final spot over CU.

Nebraskas losses aren't as bad, although they have also lost to ISU and TT. They don't have the wins CU does. We have got to get the Corn on Saturday, regardless of how much we may have ****ed ourselves tonight. I'm not tolerating CU's final game against the Corn for years ending with a Buff loss. Let's pack the house and beat Dopey Sadler and his goons

Not saying ISU is that great of a team, but they are still going to finish with a winning record. I think that says a lot for a conference where a the last place team has a winning record.

It says the teams sure do know how to schedule a large dose of non-conference cupcakes.

Their OOC SOS is 320, ours is 315... pretty simular. But still, Granted it kicked us out of the NCAA IMO, it shows how strong the Big 12 is, the bottom placed team has a .500 record, and can play with anyone in the conference on a given nigh in their home court (look at the games with KU, Mizzou, Nubs home and away).

It is all muddled....beat Nebraska and win 2 games in the Big XII tournament and we are right there. Vote against Baylor, Nebraska, Boston College, CSU, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Richmond, and all the .500 teams in conferences....lol

There's no doubt some pretty mediocre teams will be in the field this year, and it's compounded by the addition of 3 more teams. Just look at how many bubble teams out there are losing critical games over the past few days.

Sports Center reported last night that the NU game is a play-in game. I dont understand hows thats possible. But I will take any shot we have.
