Wanted. I only have one post and have visited the chat room a few times and have been met with Klan type behavior. I was sent a email from allbuffs.com that said: Dear BuffWest,

"Thank you for registering at Allbuffs! We are glad you have chosen to be a part of the premier independent University of Colorado message board. Welcome to our community and we hope you enjoy your stay. You can also find us on Twitter and FaceBook" This was a lie!
 
Shut up noob and go get me a bacon sammich. You're only welcome if you're 35 and have nothing else but to do but sit on your ass and read message boards.

Do you not understand teh internets. To be fair there was no policy on Klan like behavior, that may need updating guys!
 
I went and looked at his one other post which had absolutely no direct replies. Unless somebody went on a random PM rampage which would be hard since he hasn't paid the 15 bucks and only has space for 3 I don't see where the issue is.

Was chat open to non-members. Maybe he got chewed up a bit in chat but that can happen to anyone, especially later in a game when a few adult beverages have been consumed but it isn't anything personal unless it is invited.
 
When you say things that even a rock wouldn't say, you get called on it. That's what happened to the idot known as dumb argument. Maybe that's what happened to BW.

Chat has been open to non club members for a while now, and will be this weekend. That must be where he encountered the Klan type behavior.

We have tried to remind people that cross burnings in chat are officially discouraged, and users are usually asked to remove their white hoods when they enter the chat room. But sometimes there just isn't a mod or admin in chat.... :huh:

If you are specifically talking about this afternoon we had a 90 minutes site outage due to the fact we get more than 5 posts a day here and we are run by 1* mods unlike some other CU Sites. If you are talking about the general tone of the board, as junction mentioned chat isnt a great place for the uninitiated, we've tried to curtail user behavior in there but some times people feel the need to go full-BCS from time to time.

if however the fact we are a real community that gives newbies a hard time, then you'll just have to deal with it. I was a noob once, i did.
