You have to see it from his point of view guys. Al put his blood, sweat and tears for a team that he reached the highest level with. The guy was a champion. He absolutely loved being on the team and you can hear the love in his voice when he talks about them. The coach was given a contract and he wasn't given enough time to do what he wanted to do. Yes the team regressed in the second year, but the coach was ready to turn things around as soon as he got enough of his guys in there.

So lets cut Big Al some slack as he defends Josh McDaniels and what the Bronocos organization did when they didn't honor the contract. This quote shows how upset he was:

Pat Bowlen wasn't going to let this organization continue like this for one more day."

This is excellent.

So we were going to achieve stability by firing/letting half the staff walk away? We were then going to follow up with our stability by tossing the pro style offense into the trashcan and going the way of Oregon.

I really, honestly get the stability thing. But how stable is 4-21? What does that do to a kid? With that definition of "stability", I guess if we went, say, 10 and 63 over 7 years, but kept the same staff, we'd be good?

So we were going to achieve stability by firing/letting half the staff walk away? .

Agreed. If AL wants to make that argument about Embree needs more time. Okay. Perfectly reasonable. Then why if everything is going swell and this is all part of the plan then why was Embree going to change the offense, fire coaches on the defensive side of the ball? Shouldn't the assistants need more time in this scenario too? Why does Embree get a pass but the coaches he hired do not?

And what qualification does Embree have to run a spread offense? The guy spent his whole life in the West Coast/Pro Set.

Y'all know as well as I do why Al is making this argument. It doesn't have a damn thing to do with winning. Sucks that's how it is but it's obvious.

Dumb, can't compare Pro sports contracts to College amateur contracts. Mcdumbass had free agency and the draft to fix the problem. Embo had to wait for a 270 pound OT Freshman to add 30 pounds, redshired him, had to make sure the boosters are satisfied, had to make sure kids make the grade.

Ok Bigbang I have a question for you. Why is Al making this argument?

Al is making the argument because you can't compare the Broncos with Jay Cutler to the CU football program. He believes Embo was given the raw deal considering his team made of mostly freshmen and Sophomore had to go up against teams like USC, UCLA, Oregon, Stanford and etc. Embo had a tough job even for an experienced coach.

Yeah that's what I thought. He isn't ready no matter what color he is. I'd visit him in 5 or so years, I think he CAN be great. Up to him, he needs to learn some things. Carry on.

Bull****, he is making the argument because Embree is black, pure and simple. I know it's taboo to mention. It doesn't make espn otherwise. Maybe Al can explain the quit I saw in this team everytime they got busted in the mouth. Changing the culture my ass, unless he wanted to show how to get your ass kicked. He did a bang up job there.

Tell me I'm wrong Bigbang, he doesn't lobby for a white guy like this period. I didn't make it about race, somebody did.

So basically he is saying that Embree ****ed himself when he came out and proclaimed getting to a bowl game as the goal for the 2012 season.

I would think a smart guy like Embree who was playing a team made up of mostly freshmen and sophomores, with USC, UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, etc. on the schedule would know not to make such lofty aspirations with a team filled with so much youth.

Of course it could also be that the youth excuse is a complete red herring since lots of other teams play with freshmen and sophomores, and do pretty well.

I actually will cut Al some slack. First, he's a good guy. He backed off a litle yesterday and admitted he shouldn't have spoken with Bohn on the air before he had calmed down. Some of that staff are his closest friends. McGee is one of his best friends, right? Al's gonna be alright and remain a Buff supporter.

Elway got rid of Tebow and got Manning. Bohn got rid of Embree and got ???

The Broncos made a huge committment to Manning with that $95 million contract and CU is about to make that huge committment to coaching and facilities so like McChensey said, money helps solve problems. Anyone see where this could be going?

Embree did **** himself by proclaiming bowl game or bust. He set that expectation and he had to live with it (accountability). Furthermore, we then go out and lose to an awful CSU team and got clobbered by Sac State and Fresno. He comes out and states he didn't know why we were awful. I don't know how much more incompetent you can get.

Denver got rid of McDaniels and got Fox.

Seems like right now you're either siding with the University or the Buffs4Life. BIG Al is just caught on that line. While I think the mission of B4L is noble, it's turned into something 'cult-like.'
