if ndsu beats the sheep...

and, if sac state also beats CU, then i think my head will just spontaneously combust.

my last words will be "the horror. the horror..."

Guys...if we as fans survived Montana St., we can survive anything. it just might get more depressing this time as it turns into our expected reality and is no longer a simple aberration.

Months later, your last words will serve as the basis of convicting the prostitute found with your body for your murder....

I am worried about a let-down game against NDSU, but there is a lot of positive energy coming from this team right now. It was interesting to me that McElwain was immediately talking about moving on to NDSU preparations during his on-field interviews following the RMS. I just don't get the feeling this staff is going to let this squad look past anyone. Supposed to be a decent crowd on Saturday (29-30k) which should help. I think CSU wins a way "too close for comfort" type of game.

I'll laugh out loud.

30% being an evil laugh because csu lost...
70% being a helpless laugh because we lost to csu who lost to NDSU

you guys looked well prepared this past week. You played with emotion and urgency and it will be hard to have that same emotion this next week. So what happens if you guys lose? Are the crowds gone for the season?

Losing would be a real blow to the season. Rumor has it that NDSU will be traveling with a 3,000 plus crowd. I don't know that I have ever seen an FCS school travel that well outside of possibly Montana. To answer your question - if CSU loses this game it will be hard to get fans back.

Looking at the home slate, I think the Fresno State and Hawaii games will draw 30k. The late season games against UNLV and New Mexico could also be well attended if CSU is fighting for a bowl bid. If not, based on my past experience, the stadium could be pretty empty.

CSU has historically played way up for us and been terrible the week after. A couple of years ago they were only saved from losing to Weber by an unforced fumble on a chipshot fieldgoal.

As important as last week was to CSU, this game is similar to NDSU. To them this is the chance to get their name out to the nation. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

NDSU is also a better team than Weber and most other FCS schools. They will come in believing they can win.

Unfortunately it won't make much difference to the CSU fans either way. They won the one game that matters to them. I would be willing to bet that most of the CSU fans who are busy running around in their sheep labeled clothing and running their mouths don't even know who CSU is playing this week.

Good to see you guys coming out for the game. Maybe that ****ing CSU/CU game IS good for football in the state (well, at least ONE football program ...)

i think i might just finally stroke out with shame.

LOL. Didn't you also threaten to stroke out last week in the event of a CU loss to the Rams?

Let me ask a few diagnostic questions:

Is your speach slurred?
What day of the week is two days from now?
How many different ways can you get to 86 cents using three quarters and any other combination of coins?

Is your speach slurred?

yes, but only after i've had a few ****tails.

What day of the week is two days from now?

2 days until weekly football disappointment day is how i typically count the days now.

How many different ways can you get to 86 cents using three quarters and any other combination of coins?

who carries coins? what are you, some kind of a street mime?

The kickoff times will also help attendance this season. Every home game is slated for a 5:00 p.m. kick. No more noon kickoffs which were killers for the students trying to make it a stadium 5 miles off campus and for those of us from Denver trying to convince our significant others to make the trek to Fort Collins at 9:00 a.m.

If we take care of business against NDSU in week 2 and somehow find a way to sneak one over AFA in week 5, I think attendance will be pretty solid the rest of the way.

These outbursts are consistent with early onset Alzheimer's.

does this mean i'll be forgetting montana state, the ku loss, the mizzery beat-downs, the texass debacles, the oregon and usc stompings? etc.

In time, sweat prince. Embrace that long days journey into darkness. Just think of this calcification of your cerebral synopsis like slipping into a warm bath. Soon you won't even care who pissed down that drain.
