2014 TEAM CAPTAINS
44 Addison Gillam, ILB; 13 Sefo Liufau, QB; 52 Daniel Munyer, OG; 56 Juda Parker, DT; 41 Terrel Smith, SS; 22 Nelson Spruce, WR
Caught my eye.

Unless I'm crazy, Rippy is shown as co-starter at Sam outside linebacker. I don't think the depth chart has changed since the end of the spring (nor should it), but something I didn't notice from before.

So, since Donta Abron isn't listed anywhere is he off the team? I know it was reported he is academically ineligible, but he isn't listed anywhere.

Scroll to the very bottom. He's listed there as academically ineligible.

I know it's just a number and his dad swore he would not play QB but McIntyre wearing #14 is a bit disconcerting.

I don't get into the jersey number thing, but I know some guys do.

Just did a quick image search. Jay was #7 in football and #33 in basketball in high school. Maybe you should just be glad he was smart enough to not continue on as #7 when he got to CU.

He is listed second. Players who are tied at their spot are indented under the first name.

Orban, who I thought at one time was a promising WO, is 6-6 195. How is that possible?

Yup

Connor Center 6'7" 255. Woah.

I would hope if there is a chance Mac would want Center at tackle in the future that he go ahead and list him/have him practice there, but unfortunately tackle and tight end depth are equally frightening. Center would be great for some goal line muscle as a TE with some plays drawn up where he catches the ball in the end zone on a short route. That size could be a true asset but I don't know how raw he still is.

Not expecting Center to contribute on competitive game snaps this year.

Well you know, it would be very funny, in the way that "Springtime For Hitler" from The Producers is funny. In the way that chasing your girlfriend around the drive-in movie lot making chainsaw sounds after seeing the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre is funny. It might be so ironically grotesque that it would be cool, for about 15 minutes.

Nope. Should've clarified by his junior season. Very long term but someone that size who supposedly had a commitable Miami-FL offer makes me impatient to look into a crystal ball and see what the future holds. Other depth chart sightings:

- Lindsay ahead of both Crowder and Creer. I don't want to get overly optimistic but Mac always has very positive things to say about him. With Abron a current academic casualty, I'd like to see Lindsay try his hand at the quick and elusive look after we've run Powell and Adkins into the defense repeatedly. Probably should try that in our first couple games for confidence before running him at a real D-line.

- We have some very underweight DT options behind Tupou and Solis. I hope they stay healthy, eligible, and have stamina for days.

- Markeis Reed has the measurables. I desperately want to see him break out and have a special freshman season.

- That return game though. Once we get a pleasant surprise there I will be more confident about the season as a whole.

We have talked a lot about other true freshmen who might make a big impact (Lee, Fields, Keeney), but the guy who we might need to be ready more than any of them is Lopez.

Jase Franke is the guy I expect to play a lot. No one on the current roster outside of Kafovalu has his versatility.

Be nice if he could redshirt and get to that 275-285 range before we have to play him. Hoping that Kafovalu can be eligible and that Leo Jackson comes in able to make an impact.

Would be nice, just not sure it is a realistic scenario. Leo Jackson is the real unknown.
