The P5 or NCAA needs to control the reffing...get it out of the conferences. I love the dis the article gave PAC12 officiating...calling it the most erratic...ya think?!?
LOL. Good point. The only thing worse than pac 12 officiating would be officiating run by the ncaa.
I'm throwing a discretionary flag for the dreaded self-quote.I must be psychic ... because yesterday before this article came out I raised this very issue re the game tonight in the CU v UDub pre-game thread.
And after perusing this article ... I have even more misgivings about the possible bias, deliberate or unconscious, of the refs tonight. If we get to play on a level playing field in respect to calls made on the field, I believe we win. If not ...
It was a Big East crew and it was a phantom personal foul facemask on the offense.I'll never forget the phantom holding call against CU when we played Miami at Folsom back in the 90's. I believe the crew was from the SEC. I think we scored a TD but were called for holding. But in the replay, there was no holding to be found. I wonder if the guy's study looked at inter conference games reffed by a crew from one team's conference?
At any rate, I believe officials try to be fair. But, sometimes, their is just a subliminal bias.
Thanks my man.It was a Big East crew and it was a phantom personal foul facemask on the offense.
Officiating was fine tonight.
Laguda got away with a late hit out of bounds. Washington got away with a blatant PI.
It all evened out.
Yeah. If anyone blames this one on officiating he loses his fan card.
