Mack, just call Bob Stitt and then go back to taping your LHN show.

From Brian Fischer, one of the senior correspondents for Pac 12 Networks. Thought that was fairly interesting considering the Stitt debates on the board how many on the board want Stitt for the OC position, while others are have expressed concerns about a DII coach. I've been on the fence but I think I'm now hoping Stitt gets the job and MacIntyre's current OC Lindgren comes aboard as QB coach.

I will be double pissed if we don't take Stitt...and then Texas does and he kicks ass there. Double suck.

I heard MacIntyre on the radio Monday night. He said (damn near verbatim) when asked about Stitt: "Well I have a really good Offensive Coordinator that I'm bringing with me to Colorado. But if he doesn't come along, we'll look at other options."

I think its pretty clear that Stitt is not on MacIntyre's radar right now.

Can't argue with the #9 passing attack in the country

Oklahoma State offered the OC job to Missouri's offensive line coach; Texas is promoting Applewhite.

which puts us in decent shape for stitt

You guys kill me with the Stitt love, first off most of you had no freaking idea who he was until a USAToday article earlier in the season. Now you want our new coach to give complete and total offensive control to a guy he's likely never meet, never coached against, and hasnt interviewed; because he has a system you read an article about. His name keeps being brought up in the media but I'd doubt if UT, OkieLight, or others are giving this serious consideration. This would be a risk hire of monumental proportions, could it work? Sure. Could it fail miserably because they system doesnt quite translate when you are playing an Oregon team full of guys with 4.4 speed, absolutely.

I have never seen or read anywhere about Stitts interest in leaving the mines? has anyone? I really do not know if he is interested in moving up in the ranks

In the afore mentioned article it said he'd be open to leaving for an OC job if and only if he had complete offensive control.

The one play wonder?

Someone on Rivals indicated he is very interested in moving up to a BCS OC job, but he would prefer to stay in state. I think that poster indicated he brought Stitt to one of the CU basketball games.

I've watched Mines play a number of times. Their offense is like clockwork. Their ability to create mismatches, rack up yardage, and put points on the scoreboard, with the talent he has, is mind-boggling.

There is a reason the article was written. There is a reason there are coaches across the company consulting with the guy. He knows what he is doing and will (IMO) make a very good OC or HC at the D1 level when he gets the opportunity.

Rumor in Tejas is that Mack Brown is contemplating bringing in Chris Simms to bypass Major and take the O-Coord job. Something about historical precedence...

And yet Mines was, what, .500 this year?

Stitt consulted for UCLA last year, now who knows how much skippy's lack of discipline or potential modifications to Stitt's offense lessened it's effectiveness, but it did not light the world on fire in the pac-12 last year.
