if i remeber correctly, you can watch the game the next day. i think that is what i did last year.
not saying that its not lame that we cant watch it live. just saying i think it can be watched later.

I got in and watched the game. It was a hassle. I must have entered my name and password a dozen times to deal with the payment and get set up. BuffTV is not a seamless interface. For a premium priced service, the user interface is unnecessarily cumbersome. When is neulion going to have an iPad interface?
That said, watching online it was the next best thing to being there.
Connor Wood looked confident and was accurate. There's no question he out played Schrock and Dorman and belongs on the first team. He wasn't put under any rush, so it's hard to tell how he'd do under more pressure. He completed most of his passes and hit his primary targets.
McCullough, Darden and Spruce both caught some nice long balls. I like how Wood spread it around. It's so refreshing to have QBs and WRs look the part with some size catching balls on post routes.
Kasa looks like a beast at TE. Now if he can only become a reliable receiving TE.

The format of the game and the absence of some key players didn't do much to highlight the defense. No picks. Without Henderson and Polk playing, there wasn't much (anything) to keep the receivers from pulling down whatever came their way. The best play on defense was Woodson Greer stuffing DD Goodson behind the line.
My guess is that attendance was <12K. At least it wasn't snowing.
The media interviews and moments when they forgot to turn off the mics were interesting.
I liked the interview with Spencer Dinwoodie. He is a great representative of CU and provides a nice articulate and entertaining interview. Mike Bohn's imitation of Mark Johnson's "Straight between the eyes" 3PT call was uncanny. Bohn was promoting the new scoreboards and was dropping not so subtle hints about announcing something "transformational" about the program. It was obvious he was alluding to a facilities announcement, although he never said it.
Hearing from Rippy and PRich on the sideline was a nice touch. Both sounded upbeat despite their injury situations. Good luck to PRich in his surgery on Monday.
I have no idea why Darrell Scott was there...weird. Zimmerman was gracious and said he got on TV a lot and had a nice finish to his career.
That said, watching online it was the next best thing to being there.

tini, its the principal behind it. you need to understand that. the AD needs to do everything they can do to expand the base. charging 10 bucks, no matter what small that may be to you, does not help encourage people to watch.
look, the average joe that they are trying to get to be involved in Colorado or califronia or the carolinas for that matter, that have nothing going on on this saturday for what ever reason. instead of just logging on and watching the game, they have to get on the site. click the link. find out they have to register. go get the wallet/money clip with the credit card/debit card, put in all the info, go back to the starting point, find the link and by the time that is all done, you are 20 minutes into the damm thing.
that is a pain in the ass.
or the AD could just understand what the aim of this whole practice is, provide one link for the game and make it available to get/keep people connected with the program.

Agree....and very disappointed with the attendance: <12k? How long ago was it that Mac was pushing to get over 50K? A few years ago, under Dooshface Danny, I believe....

Agreed. It should be FREE during the live period. That's called promotion. There would be a lot more psyched buff fans right now if they didn't have to confront that crappy neulion/cubuffs payment interface.
And having excited buff fans is what is is all about.

That would be nice. The Pac 12 network had an advertisement up. Coming in August...Lightbridge, Comcast, Timewarner.
No mention of Dish, DirecTV, FIOS or U-Verse.

I was really impressed with Connor, have to remind myself that he is young sometimes though. Id also really like to see Josh ford get a lot of carries this year, he always seems to be making plays. Let us all pray that Jerrod Darden can dig deep and step up for us, that catch was nice! Might have been offensive PI though.

Positives:
OLine- Everyone looked real good, really impressed. Nembot is a future all conference player, really dominated at right tackle. Nembot is good against the speed rush and bull rush. The guy was like a man among boys. The OL is the strenght of the team.
QB- All three QB played really well. Connor will be really good, still has a ways to go. Dorman and Schrock were also really good. The competition in the fall should be really good. The starter will be battle tested.
WR- Darden is coming on, impressed. Maybe it is starting to click for him. Spruce looks good too.
RB- Ford and Jones played really well
FB- Good full back play
LB- play was okay
Negatives
DL- No pass rush, bad against the run.
CB- still a work in progress
TE- Kasa has alot of work to do
