Iowa fan visiting for the Air Force game

Hey everyone, my wife and I are coming out to Colorado for a week starting the day of the Air Force game. Figured we’d hit up the game before we venture to Steamboat Springs the following Saturday. Any recommendations on where to sit in the stadium or must do things in Boulder before we head west? Thanks.

Mid September games at noon can get pretty hot and the sun can be pretty intense in the east stands. You may prefer the west stands to avoid the sun pounding you in the face. Take sunscreen, especially if you sit in the east stands.

Obviously the best seats are middle middle. Fifty yard line halfway up. But there aren’t a lot of bad seats. If you’re toward an end zone make sure there isn’t an aisle between you and the action because people walk up and down the ****ing aisles all game long.

I’ve got tickets I might be selling actually if you’re interested. Section 120 row 19 which is the sunny side and right by the tunnel where Ralphie and the team come out of the tunnels. PM me if you’re interested.

You could drive through Rocky Mountain National Park on your way over to Steamboat, stop at Estes Park/Grand Lake. Fair chance at seeing a moose or two

The Air Force game is going to be EARLY. The north east side of the stadium is going to be better from a sun/shade perspective, or in the south endzone below the jumbotron. There are no bad places to sit in Folsom though from a viewing perspective. Be aware Folsom is all metal bleachers, so if you want some extra cushion or a chair back, you should include that in your planning. Check out the Pearl Street Stampede, which occurs downtown Boulder on Friday night. If you have the time, and the weather cooperates, hiking Chautauqua is a good option. Grabbing a beer and a burger at "The Dark Horse" after the game is highly recommended. A handful of craft breweries in town if that is your thing as well.

Don't expect any pork tenderloin sandwich in Colorado to be anything close to what you get at home. Nothing like an Iowa pork t. sandwich to taste great and knock a few years off your life!
