I took no enjoyment in A&M's butt whoopin by Miami last night, and it got me to thinking….does the Big 12 have a "big" win yet.
12 teams have played 3 games a piece. I found ONE, count em, ONE victory worth talking about (in 36 total games). OU pounded Miami at home. I don't think Miami is top 5 material, but they are a quality team. After that, there are MAYBE 2 decent, and by decent I mean, ok wins. That would be NU over Wake Forest (on the road) and Texas over TCU. And to be honest, those are marginal in my book. That's it. I would throw in Iowa State over Iowa, but since they also lost to Kent State and Northern Iowa, that negates any chance for them to claim a quality win (maybe ever!:smile2
. The rest of the Big 12 wins, are over crappy, and I mean, crappy teams. A laundry list of directional schools and hostess cupcakes.
With the exception of the OU win over Miami, every "big name" school that a Big 12 team has played, has resulted in an L.
Florida State…beat CU (and Florida State ain't what they used to be)
Arizona State…trounced CU (and Arizona State isn't exactly the class of the Pac 10)
Auburn…beat KSU (and Auburn is on the verge of melting down)
USC…pummelled NU
Georgia….pummelled OSU
Miami….pummelled A&M
Big 12 = quality football conference??? OU is good and so far, the rest of us, suck!
