I'm looking forward to seeing what happens now that the season is done. 2-10 is disappointing. A few close losses that could have bounced our way, some definite progress IMO. But still, there is an urgency to turn this around. I think RG sees it.
A few years ago, they could have just ignored the fan base (as they did) and talk smoke and mirrors. Now with millions of dollars of facilities, much needed fund raising, dwindling attendance, lack of student interest, etc the stakes are too high.
It's obvious to me that the defense is flawed. You can argue injuries, youth, etc but the fact is, our offense cannot win games when the Defense gives up enormous amounts of points. My experience this season is that our D just doesn't consistently stop anyone. I hope RG forces a change at Defensive coordinator.
Special teams needs a change too. what else do you all think should change? Do you think RG will make it happen?
Seems pretty risky to me to not make some changes. I believe RG has a vision for CU athletics. He will make some changes. If not, I see MM gone after next year if we have another dismal defensive year.
