I’m sorry if this belongs in the LaViska Bad man thread, but I think it deserves its own conversation. Watching this kid play, I can’t think of another play in the country that is outright a better football player. I know, I’m a homer but let’s be serious here. This kid makes a team MILES better. Imagine if we don’t have LaViska Shenault Jr. this year, this team is not 5-0, he is that good. He deserves talk for the heisman nationally as well as the Maxwell. He is that good, and I don’t think that is kool-aid speak.

I’d say if this continues it’s highly doubtful. Maybe the same for Montez. Enjoy it while it lasts. This guy is special.
He is a true sophomore. Have to be 3 years removed from HS to declare for the draft. Shenault will be back next season.

Ain't no doubt he should be in the conversation. I'd argue he's top 5 at a minimum.

But as far as the rest of the country is concerned, he's an afterthought. A) because he's not a QB or a RB that's going to hit over 2000 yards, and B) it's Colorado and that's a school that no one is used to talking about in recent history.

That's bull****, but it's the way it is.

He’s a man, man.

He lines up in the Wildcat, and EVERYBODY knows exactly what’s coming. Nobody can stop it. He’s a special, special player. He is going to make millions in the NFL. Probably be a top ten pick in the 2020 draft.

I hope he can stay healthy.

If he does, can you imagine him at the combine? Those scouts will need drool buckets.

I hope they are tracing him to pass in secret. Really working on it. And some day, I’m a huge game, last ditch need a TD (or first down to stay alive...he throws the ball for a TD.

Dude is a beast, great football instincts. The 3rd and 7 in the 4th he makes the grab for a 1st AND stays in bounds to keep the clock going. Been a season ticket holder for 30yrs have never seen a player like Viska!!
Never? There was that guy who did alright in 1994.

Through 5 games Viska has

51 catches (Brandin Cooks 2013, 128), needs 77 (9.625 per game if we play another 8)
708 receiving yards (Brandin Cooks 2013, 1730), needs 1022 (127.75 if we play another 8)
6 receiving TDs (John Ross 2016 and 2 others, 17), needs 11
10 TDs from scrimmage (Toby Gerhart 2009, 28), needs 18

I think those are all do-able except for maybe TDs from scrimmage, especially if we play 14 games
