During the P12 Tournament post-game pressers, Assistant Coach Jean Prioleau is getting more exposure. Following the Cal win, a video was posted in the locker-room where Boyle's comments were quick and he turned the floor over to JP to complete the post game debrief.
Last night coach JP was given the assignment to speak to Mark Johnson during the radio post-game segment.
I don't have a good feel for JP's expanding role as a mouthpiece for Boyle. It could be Boyle unselfishly developing JP by delegating to his assistant. It could be a realization that JP can reach this team in a way that he can't.
What are your thoughts on JP's role? Is he coming into his own? Is he being groomed to move on to bigger and better things? Is this business as usual or some short term deal caused by the logistics of the P12 tournament?
