Josh Ford zero carries and GT had 2 touches going in to the 4th qtr

Just don't understand why thomas isn't getting more plays "downfield". Kasa should be more involved and I agree, ford should get some more playing time.

Doesn't matter, we can pick any aspect of this team and there's something to question.

EB is a great guy, met him once. Great RB coach, will get a job again in the NFL, there is no doubt about that. But I agree, we need a new OC next year.

We need a new oc, dc, ol and te/st's coach I hate to say this but, Brian cabral and his LB core have been underachieving for a few years.

I wish you got killed as much as our football team does.

In addition to Josh Ford and Gerald Thomas, we should be throwing Keenan Canty's name into the mix. This team is desperate for some guys that can stretch the field a bit. Got to use what we have.

Look, we got beat by 28 by a team that is 28 points better than us. We were out talented. Even if we had a couple guys to stretch the field we couldn't pass pro long enough to do anything with it.

My favorite scheme related thing today was every 3rd and 5 we had our dline 3 yards off the ball and our corners 12 yards off. The only variation was sometimes they would show press and then be backpedaling 15 yards downfield at the snap. Awesome.

We weren't going to win this game unless UCLA played poorly and we played well, neither happened.

With that a downfield passing game for us was doomed by two issues. One is that our offensive line can't pass protect well enough for a QB to confidently set up, read to D, and step into the pass. Secondly Webb doesn't have the arm to get the ball downfield unless the reciever is completely wide open. He isn't accurate enough and deliver the ball fast enough to hit windows deep.

More bubble screens to McCulloch please.

Works better than the deep balls to him.

The most frustrating thing for me about Webb is that he throws a flat deep ball. Put some air under it. Either a bigger guy like McCulloch is going to have an advantage in a jump ball situation or someone like GT would have a chance to run under it. He's not giving the WRs a chance.

Yep. What frustrates me most about Webb is he does not manufacture much of anything. That should be one of the advantages of playing an experienced QB. If a play is open, he can make the throws. If it not there (either by pressure or coverage), good luck.

Spot on.

Webb may be very good in a system where he is surrounded by talent and only has to run things but we don't have a bunch of playmakers and Webb doesn't elevate us above who we are.

I don't know that we would do any better with Wood or Hirsch but with the margins we have lost by this year I don't think we would do much worse giving somebody else a chance to develop and lead the offense. I haven't seen anything from Webb that makes me think we would be worse without him in there.
