The last time Kansas scored more than once in a quarter was a 35-point, fourth-quarter outburst in a win over Colorado.
The Jayhawks aren't quite there, but the biggest comeback in Kansas history happened on the same field where the Jayhawks look like they want to pull one of the biggest upsets, too.
The 24-point underdogs to the nation's No. 10 team broke off a 24-yard touchdown run by James Sims near the end of the first quarter, and lead 14-10 to begin the second quarter.
Both drives were lengthy, 77 and 80 yards, which is a good sign for an offense that has struggled for much of the year. Fourteen points won't even be close to enough to win this game, but even when the Jayhawks were forced to punt, they moved the ball 22 yards before doing so. Oklahoma State's defense will have to play better to keep the Cowboys off upset alert heading into the latter parts of the second half.
