Nice find. Poor result, but I would have glazed right over that line.
Denver Post said:Lynn Katoa, the highest-rated prospect in Utah, ran afoul of legal and academic expectations. Linebackers coach Brian Cabral confirmed Katoa won't return to the team.
Wonder what the reason was? Can't be grades since those results wont be back for another month.
Sounds like he found himself in some legal trouble perhaps?
If he's flunking out they really don't need to wait until the semester is over to know.
so she spends years fluffing the glories of csu and now that they've made her report on CU, you can tell she chokes down the bile as she types. ... always lukewarm enthusiasm or a backhanded compliment or an outright criticism...
today: "in the secrecy cloaked world of CU football..." and, yet, the article has NOTHING to do with closed practices or anything even remotely related to that. it is just a silly little slap for the hell of it.
annoying.
this should also illustrate to the cuad why they need to be more accessible with these haters, not less.
hidden in the article seems sneaky, as you guys are noting. landing Katoa wasn't insignificant for this staff.
The thing that pisses me off is that I can imagine those ****ing ou fans snickering at us. I mean, could you imagine what the ut boards would be saying if DS had left the team?
Looking back, Katoa was a fairly high risk kid from the get go. He came from a troubled past but had seemed to turn it around. I kind of wonder if his high school is a little bit to blame. I mean, he was not doing well in school, seemed to turn it around, and graduated 6 months early. That just seems really wierd to me.
