KJ Trujillo

He played out of his mind last night. If he tipped that ball, on that TD pass to Pittman, that would have been really, really huge

Very happy to see how he stepped up. I hope that he can focus on the positive and not dwell on the negative.

Their game plan was definitely to pick on him and he responded quite well. He's a definite bright spot for the future. Even that TD he gave up was excellent coverage, just a perfect throw and catch.

Trujillo played his ass off for a guy who isn't ready physically, imo. Spring and Summer workouts will do wonders for him, assuming he puts in the work. Agreed that Sami, Perry, and Lang flashed as well. I just want to see Lang do that consistently, he has ability and size.

If we can recruit some quality DL to control the LOS and put some pressure on the passer without selling out these young DBs are going to be quality players for us.

KJ and Perry are young guys who were playing against as talented a set of receivers as they may face in their careers here.

It is a must to recruit some d-linemen that can get home. I don't care how good the back end is, covering for six or seven seconds, is too much to ask of any db especially with the type of receivers USC has. It's damn near impossible.

Trujillo deserves this thread...he's continuing to improve and he just wants to play. Can't wait to see more Tucker kids.

Was actually a MM recruit just for clarification. De-committed and recommitted so props does go to Tucker for holding on to him.

But what kind of coaching would he have gotten with MM vs MT?

well MM is definitely not seen in a good light in these parts anymore, but for a hot minute there people spoke of us as DBU and there are several current starters in the NFL that MM put there. How he let DB recruiting fall apart so badly is beyond anyone.

I think bread was just making a clarification in your wording calling Trujillo a MT kid when he was originally recruited by MM.

Just look at how many DBs left the program before this season...the secondary was going to be thin this season.

So, we feel that we are super thin, which we are, but what if Trujillo, Luckett, Blackmon, Miller, Striker, and Bethel are all pretty solid next year? We also got Oats and Thomas working hard to get better, so how many CB's do we want to ultimately have? Seems like 2 more JUCO's?

Miller, Blackmon, and Trujillo seem like Top 3, with Striker and Bethel being unknowns, and the rest providing depth. Not lights out, but feels like a solid group, obviously pray for no injuries, cause that F's it up!!!

You have two players (probably the two starters in 20) who have been injured pretty much the entire time they've been here
