He is a moron.

We love him for the leadership, talent and toughness he showed while he was here. He's also a charismatic guy who commands a room.

But he is a moron.

He's always been a moron. I won't go into his off-field incidents and some of the stories from when he was here, but suffice to say that nothing about Bieniemy ever suggested that he deserved the "cerebral" label.

I still like Bieniemy. He just should never have been considered by anyone to be an Offensive Coordinator. It's sad to see him scrambling to figure out a play to call. It's sad to see delays of game on consecutive plays. It's sad to see the predictability of the offense. It's sad to see someone call a QB sneak on 1st and 10 because he thinks that it's 3rd and 1.

Bieniemy is a moron.

Please do him a favor and save him from further embarrassing himself. Let him find a job as a RB coach somewhere to save some face, thank him for his service to CU, and hire an OC who has a clue what he's doing.

(I posted this on Rivals and it bears repeating. Eric Bieniemy is a moron.)

 
As an OC he's most definitely a ****ing moron in way over his head.
 
I can't disagree with anything you have said Nik. This offense doesn't change week by week or even try to use what talent we have, very predictable and very boring with zero imagination to try to get some mismatches anywhere. Sad and pathetic.

Greg Brown is a moron too.

The difference is that I'm certain that Brown is going to lose his job and have known this for weeks. It's not worth posting about since it's beating a dead horse and playing into the CU spin control that wants to blame all our problems on the defense.

I'm targeting Bieniemy because the cowards at CU are reluctant to fire him. The attention needs to be focused here.

1. Fire Embree. If there is any sense at all at CU, this was decided a couple weeks ago and they are negotiating with coach agents right now.
2. If somehow, someway CU is too cowardly to pull the trigger on Embree then it at least has to force his hand and demand that competent coordinators are hired for both sides of the ball.

Bieniemy has a job that is beyond his level of competence and experience. I don't think he deserves to be called a moron.

Completely agree, particularly on point #1. However I'll believe it when I see it, and I don't think we'll see it.

I agree, you have to remember the two incompetents running the organ grinder...MB is monkey dancing out in front of the AD.
 
I'm just glad that Bieniemy spent so much time in the offseason and the closed fall practices developing our no huddle hurry-up offense (complete with Duck-style flash cards) that we used for part of the CSU game. That really set the tone for this season. Put the nation on notice that CU was the team to follow if you wanted to see boneheaded incompetence every week.

And don't forget, Embree went so far as to tell us "you'll see why we closed practices."

Nothing wrong with trying to study EB play calling. Was concerned with it, wanted to see if it will get better this year. But only a moron that lacks the understanding, incapable of critical thinking will have other interpretation of my statement.
 
I agree the whole Staff should be fired. But I think it is too much to call him a moron. The guy is the all time leading rusher in school history. He is a very good Running backs coach, coached guys like MJD and Adrian Peterson. He is not a moron, he is just over his head, lacks experience as an OC. Could be better suited as a Head coach with more experience down the line. I have the same thoughts about Greg Brown. Lousy DC, but great DB coach. Wanted him fired last year.
