I'm assuming other season ticket holders just got this or will get it soon. Love how this staff and AD roll.

Dear Buffs Fan,

Join us for our exclusive live Interactive Fan Forum Conference Call, just for football season ticket holders, on Tuesday, August 26 from 12-1 p.m. Throughout the call you'll hear us talk about the direction of the football program and the CU athletic department and you'll have the opportunity to ask questions of Rick George and Coach Mike MacIntyre.

The live call will be moderated by Buffs radio play-by-play announcer, Mark Johnson.

Joining the live conference call is easy: JUST ANSWER YOUR PHONE!

You'll receive the call shortly before 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26. Once you answer the phone, you'll be directly connected to the live conference call. If you miss the call or do not receive the call at the proper number, you can dial 1-877-229-8493 and enter pin 111378 to join the live conference call at any time.

We hope you'll join us next Tuesday for this exciting event. Get your questions ready!

I thought this was done last year as well. Someone takes your question and asks you how long you have been a season ticket holder.

So what you're saying is if you want your question read lie about how long you've been a season ticket holder?

Well, there certainly seem to be tougher questions getting through this year than there were last year. Last year was total fluff if I remember correctly.

Major problem is that they seem to assign priority on who gets on the air based on priority points. So we end up with a bunch of callers who are 30-50 year season ticket holders.

Nothing earth shattering on the call. But something that gets reinforced every time I hear RG or Mac is that those guys are dialed in on their jobs. There's not an issue they can't speak to in detail. I don't ever feel like I'm getting pat answers from those guys.

Agreed. I don't hear the admin sticking their noses in, people deferring decision making to them or a coach way in over his head. We have a couple big time leaders here finally.

Lots of tap dancing around the future of RMS. That caller did a good job of pointing out CU consensus desire to get the game back on campus or maybe diversifying the opponents. "Those stupid commercials you have to watch in between plays at sports authority" [emoji2]

RG was non-committal about the future of the series, but it's clearly on his mind. He didn't defend the series. So that's good.

Game day in Boulder...Ingress/egress into the stadium...gates open 2 hours ahead of kickoff instead of 90 minutes.

New concessions got a lot of airtime. That new grub better be good! [emoji14]

obviously closing franklin to tailgating burned some bridges with long-time season ticket holders but what options did they really have?

Oh for Christ's sake! It's just an indoor practice facility! It's not like they put a ****ing bike rack in the middle of Franklin!

Had to be done. For stadium convenience, all those folks will get indoor parking that's even more convenient as soon as next year.

I think the main issues are as follows:

1. Old people fear change.
2. Rich people get pissed when they, of all people, get inconvenienced.
3. Long-time CU supporters viewed having a parking pass there as a status symbol in their social circles.

So, what was "The Husker Lady's" axe to grind?

She was clearly the greatest business mind in our generation. Her main point was about how retaining existing ticket holders is less costly than bringing in new ones.

Her question...what is CU doing about retaining existing ticket holders?

She wasn't looking for a parking related answer to address Gold Lot passes. She is local and walks to the game.

RG did placate her by acknowledging, yes, retention is very important. He went down a list of game day experience changes. A new concessions vendor, getting in and out of the stadium, bigger variety of seating options...those were the biggies.

RG had also mentioned earlier in the Q&A how Mortenson and the CUAD are looking at accommodation for Franklin field.

RG never did explain how winning is the most important thing to keep fans. But that was the 500 pound gorilla in the room.

I get the sense that she droned on and on before getting to her point/question. Why is she the "Husker Lady?" Did she want us back in the Big6?

She kept bragging about how they have great support and she should know cause she's from there

Nebraska was her yardstick. "If only CU had HALF the support as Nebraska..."

:puke:

If she was truly from there she should know why it is so hard to fill folsom. Fall is some of the prettiest hiking in the nation in the foothills/rockies, Tail end of the season competes with Skiing. There are bike races through October on the weekends, hunting season starts in September/October, people try to get that last fishing trip in before the rivers freeze, and on and and on.

Once they knock the corn down there is nothing to do in Nebraska. That is why the entire state tries to squeeze into that little town on game days.
