Colorado`s players -- remember, these are college students -- can`t help but think ahead to the possibilities out in paradise. They also acknowledge that it will be difficult to have success at the nation`s most prestigious preseason tournament if they don`t enter the event brimming with the confidence an unblemished record provides.
In order for the Buffs to have a swagger about them in Maui, Bzdelik`s team must take care of business tonight against a talented Texas Southern team at the Coors Events Center (7 p.m., FSN).
"I think it`s extremely important to win this game because of the confidence," Cory Higgins said. "We`re going to be playing a great team every night and that confidence will help us out that much more."
CU is 2-0 after dining on cupcakes Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Coppin State. Bzdelik insists the Tigers -- led by Whitworth "Junior" Treasure -- are a much different animal.
"They`re long. They`re athletic. They`re a very good basketball team. This will be a big test for us," Bzdelik said. "They`re quicker, longer, more athletic and skilled than anybody we`ve played this year."
Treasure has been a nice find for the Texas Southern coaching staff, of which former Denver Nuggets guard Nick Van Exel is a member. The senior is averaging 24 points per game.
"He could play for anybody in thenation," Bzdelik said.

This should be a good test tonight. I'll be eager to see if we can limit 2nd chance points and keep our turnovers down against a more athletic team. Starting 3-0 would be huge for these guys. Game's on FSN at 7pm if you can't make it to the CEC.
