Looking forward to the CSU game next year

CSU should be pretty good next year, I think we both have excellent shots at making the tournament again. They return 6 of their top 7 scorers from last years team including their top-4 scorers and have two transfers who are now eligible to play; A 7-foot center coming in from Minnesota who's a solid player and a SG coming in from Arizona who didn't do much at UA but was one of the top recruits in the nation out of HS so maybe the light will flip on. Should be a fun and comptetative game and one that actually has some significance. Despite overall increacing attendance we've had trouble filling up the CEC for non-conference games but hopefully this will be an exception. It would be nice if we could get a (real) hoops rivalry going with them.

As far as attendance goes, I think the last CSU game was very well attended at the Keg.

Positives for us: Coaching, Talent.
Them: Experience, Cohesion, motivation.

Negatives for us: Youth, Unproven Talent
Negatives for them: Coaching, Lack of athleticism.

Should be an interesting game. Probably be the game our team gets the most "up" for in the pre-season since we will have SO MANY frosh on the team from Colorado. And given the reaction of CU freshmen to CSU around here, I'm guessing there is gonna be a lot of instate hate going around the team.

Snow i have to disagree with you there Eustachey is a damn good coach with a proven track record.
 
I'm totally biased, but I don't think there's a single coach on next year's schedule that's better than Tad Boyle. Not even close.
 
I just really hope the game is on a Saturday Afternoon/Evening. Garuantee it'd be close to a sell out if it is. Given that it's an early season game, and both teams made the tourney last season, we may even be able to get a good ESPN/ABC tv slot for it.
 
CSU is gonna "mop the floor" with us and make the Final 4. We have no chance:rolling_eyes::lol:
 
Fun fact. Eustachy coached at Southern Miss for 8 years and finished higher than tied for 4th place in-conf a total of 1 time

7,219 saw the OT thriller in 2010 (Relphorde with the exclamation!). Two seasons of March Tadness will have that number well over 9,500, December date be damned. We should be able to sell it out, but I never take December attendance for granted.

Eustachy is the real deal, and I don't mean this the wrong way, but I think he was a better coach when he was a drunk.

I'm curious as to just how much of a blind homer you are. Disagree with this statement: "CU's 2012 recruiting class has more talent than CSU's entire roster" and back it up with recruiting rankings, offers, etc.

Well they're going to be freshmen, and their skill level is yet to be seen. CSU's lowly recruits seem to perform pretty well...not to mention the addition of Bejarano/Iverson... Good luck big guy. You're gonna need it
