Looks like CU is auctioning off Big 12 flags that flew at Folsom Field

A clever way for the AD to make some extra cash.

I'm not sure why anyone in Colorado would want an aggie flag.
 
Those flags have a lot of historical value. I bid on one, just for the hell of it. Posted it elsewhere, now the KU flag has a bid, too.
 
Interesting. It accepted my $50 bid, but in an email I learned that I didn't hit the reserve. wonder what the reserve is.
 
Wonder if any of the other Big XII schools will be getting rid of their CU flags. Would be a nice pickup.

From which school would you be willing to spend the most for their old CU flag?
The price for an Iowa State or Baylor or K-State would be much lower than an kNU or Texas.
 
hmmm...the OU flag may be a good gift for my brother-in-law. At least I will always know that it once flew over Folsom.

So what is the opening bid?

Ah no, not getting one from Nebraska. From what I remember no Big 12 flags were ever flying at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln anyway. Can't seem to remember any flying on campus, or in of the other athletic facilities. They could have been there, but not now!

I would bet they just threw them all away after that last Big 12 meeting that broke the camels back. Might have been ripped them into rags to clean toilets with.

You did better than me. The Nebraska Pathletic department didn't bother to reply to my request for a CU flag.
