Lytle....Noyer....or Stenstrom???

If Montez dashes for the NFL (don't think he will), or if he goes down at any point between now and his graduation, who would YOU prefer to see at QB and why?

Noyer is a sophomore, Lytle is a RS Freshman, and Stenstrom is a redshirt right now, I think.

I'm most excited about Lytle. But only being one yera behind Noyer means if Noyer gets the PT then we will see very little of Lytle before his time on campus is up.

I would imagine we'd see Noyer this year if Montez were to go down, but next year we'd see Lytle as I expect Lytle to beat Noyer out of his slot.

Thoughts?

It’s hard to judge because we have seen so little of either player. What I have seen of Noyer isn’t impressive, though.
From a completely outside perspective, and not having any access to the team, practices or their interaction with the other teammates, I’d guess Noyer gets the first try but has a very short leash.

If it's Noyer or Stenstrom we're fooked. The kid that should probably be our starting QB in 2 years is playing about 5 minutes from campus right now.

If it is a few plays then Noyer is the best prepared. More than a few plays Noyer's limitations come out. Needs to be Lytle or Stenstrom.

I don't think I have ever seen any of them do anything more than handing off a basic running play so I have no idea if any of them have any talent. It was telling that the one play Montez went out, they felt more comfortable letting McMillan throw a pass from the wildcat than letting Noyer put one up.

Based on the AZ game on Friday, the coaching staff has more faith in McMillan than any of our backups. So, I don't feel too upbeat about our depth.

Edit - What @steph said above me.

None of us have a clue, but I'd say the odds are pretty good that we find out sooner than later.

I mean one of these things looks likely to happen:
1. Montez gets crushed and injured due to horrible offensive line.
2. Montez gets crushed and injured due to inept play calling.
3. Montez gets crushed and injured due to going into panic mode because of #1 and 2.
4. Montez gets ruined and is no longer able to make sound QB decisions (Much like many rookie NFL QB's after they take senseless beating after senseless beating).
