Two Buffs are at this big time Academy, and one of them is not a QB!!! Montez is there again, which is good, but Viska is also there, which is very unique as a non-QB?
You forgot “trips right, Viska in the gun...”"Viska to Nixon for the 40 yard TD puts the Buffs up 37-20 late in the fourth quarter against the Corn" is what Mark Johnson will be saying on 850KOA
book it !!

In a sports market like the Denver metro area, having a "voice of the Buffs" like Mark Johnson is a blessing, not a curse.Mark Johnson needs to go. There, I said it.
What for? He is a great “Voice of the Buffs! I totally disagree.Mark Johnson needs to go. There, I said it.

I know that he can be a little overboard, but someone in the press needs to be.

I got you... curious, are you one of those Bill Walton fans? The problem with mark johnson is not that he goes overboard. His problem is that he doesn't tell the listener what happens before going off on a tangent mid-sentence, which is a big problem for a play by play guy.
Walton does color commentary, not play by play.I got you... curious, are you one of those Bill Walton fans?

I know he's a "color guy" but please, if you abhor tangents, you have no leg to stand on.I do, in fact, like bill walton. If he were doing play by play on the radio, where I am forced to depend entirely on the play by play guy to know what just happened, I might like him much less.
Is it ok that I like both Mark Johnson and Bill Walton? Neither is a cookie cutter corporate snooze fest. Both care deeply about the players, institutions and sports they cover. Both are mostly about the people.
I do understand why some people prefer a broadcaster who is more in the background and unobtrusively describes the action, occasionally dropping the info nugget when there's a lull. But I find that boring.
So are most people associated with CU, but god love 'em.He’s overbearing and a bit pretentious.

I heard some chick give a speech 20 years ago that was super high faluten academic during her undergrad career. I walked up to my fellow alum and proudly reminisced about the drinking, skiing, and partying capped of with “it was the best four years of my life”.
When I looked up she was boring laser beam holes thru my soul having worked much harder than I did. We were clearly were not going to get married.
From downtown!Right between the eyes!
GB is actually the one guy on the broadcast team I don’t like.MJ is awesome! So is GB. They do a great job together.
