And they play all their games at Noon. I'm usually against regulation of most things, but if you have turf, it should have to be green.

Agreed. Other than how hideous it looks, I can't imagine how hot that is going to be for the players. It will only take a player keeling over once for that crap to be pulled out.
 
I thought that the NCAA came out with a directive a couple of years ago forbidding colored turf on FBS team's fields. They grandfathered the smurf turf.
 
I don't believe so. I think the NCAA made a few guidelines about how the endzones could be colored, and that the boundary lines, the hasmarks, numbering, yard lines, etc. all had to be white
 
I may be completely wrong but I think the rule has something to do with uniforms matching the turf color. I think I may be crazy though... All field turf has those black rubber chunks in it which gets hot as hell. I doubt this would be magnitudes hotter. It does look magnitudes worse though.
 
Wouldn't the turf melt? I'm sure there will be a lawsuit from other teams for burning of the skin.
 
Nothing surprises me when it comes to Maryland being an abomination. Deep down, they know they're completely irrelevant (even by ACC standards), so they do **** like this to try and get any attention they can grab.

Those uni's don't match anything including themselves. Are they going for the clown college look? Did they add a circus arts major?

Not true. There's no rule against it...the turf here wasn't grandfathered in. It would, I imagine, have to be an NCAA rule and not just simply FBS.
Look at Eastern Washington or even this, at Central Arkansas (also FCS).

Their unis match their flag. They look rediculous in my opinion. I was referring to Boise St. wearing all blue on their smurf turf or EWU wearing all red on their atrocity of a field.
