Match-ups against the Cats

At first I thought we matched up pretty identically....but York starting creates a bit of a conundrum.

NJ - Ski (XT on D)
TJ - XT (Ski on D)
GY - DT or J Hop?
AG - XJ
KT - Jelly

RHJ could possible get the start at 3 which would make it more straight forward. I like having Wes off the bench still to help with foul trouble as AG draws a lot.

Either way, we have an offensive mismatch in our advantage.
 
I would love if we could get Josh to attack Aaron Gordon in the paint. He is prone to fouling and it would be one fewer weapon to deal with.
 
This might be a game where J-Hop needs to give us 20 minutes of great defense on Nick Johnson. This is a case where we really miss Spencer. He owned NJ.
 
I agree with having J Hop guard NJ.

The three guards are a headache on offense, but like I said, defensively they open up some gaps for us.

Also comical how the three of them look like triplets on tv.
 
XJ is gonna mount up in this game. AZ will lean on Josh and ski after asu. XJ has shown a tendency to bounce back strong. Opportunity here for Buffs and XJ.

I like our chances even if a very tough battle looms. Predict crowd will be even more a factor Sat night!
 
I would feel much more comfortable coming into this game if we had a healthy Wes to count on.

Yup. He always plays well against them. In tuscon, he was 7/12 shooting (4/5 from deep) - 21 points, 2 boards.
Last year in 2 games vs AZ (chengate) 13/6, (revenge) 19/9, Conf tourney (11/2)

15.75/4.75 in 4 games.

He always comes to play against these guys, and he basically said we'd win in the post game presser at their place. Spencer ran his mouth a bit but always walked the walk (unless you're a csu fan, and find significant differences between the 30 he said he'd hang on the 2 years ago, and the 29 he actually put on them). It's time for XJ to do the same.

I also expect a lot from booker. He always plays well in big games, and this is about as big as it gets. Top 5 team? We havent beaten one of those all year.

True - but they haven't looked like a Top 5 team lately. It will be a great win.
