Matches Thread- VOLLEYBALL opens Big 12 play on the road at #17 BYU (Thurs., 9/26/24, 7:00 PM MT) & (RV) Utah (Sunday, 1:00 PM MT)

VOLLEYBALL (7-5) starts their 1st Big 12 conference season (take 2) on the road in Utah against 2 solid opponents. 1st off is a trip to Provo to face the #17 ranked BYU Cougars (7-3), followed up with a Sunday matinee match with a MUCH more familiar opponent, the receiving votes (RV) Utah Utes (10-1).

(Note - with conference play opening up, thought it would be a good time to looked at what Big 12 teams are ranked. In addition to the aforementioned Cougars, Kansas is at #9, ASU #14, Baylor #19 and TCU #22.

Also - I don't know if the Buffs will have the same travel "partner" every weekend like in the Pac 12 (where Utah was). If it is consistent, it looks like Texas Tech may be the Buffs' as that's the other team visiting the Utah teams this week.)

I believe all streams for ALL Big 12 volleyball matches will be available for those with premium ($) ESPN+ subscriptions, and that's the case this weekend. (See more details and links near the bottom of this post.)

Volleyball Buffs Open Big 12 Play with No. 17 BYU and Utah​

BOULDER – The Colorado volleyball team (7-5) officially returns to the Big 12 this week, opening conference play on the road against No. 17 BYU (7-3) on Thursday and former Pac-12 opponent Utah (10-1) on Sunday.

CU finished nonconference play last week, splitting its annual home-and-home matches with nonconference rival Colorado State. The Buffs will go to Provo, Utah, on Sept. 26 to play the Cougars at George Albert Smith Fieldhouse, and the Black and Gold will meet a former Pac-12 opponent in Utah (10-1) in Salt Lake City at Jon M. Huntsman Center on Sept. 29.

The Buffs will meet the Cougars for the fifth time in program history and the Utes for the 31st time.
